That makes 9 unbeaten. According to the archives, our best ever unbeaten run at the start of a season was in 1935/36, when I believe we went on to win the old Division 3 North title; also 9 games. That means we`ve now equalled our best start, which eventually led to promotion. Good omen? Hope so.
It also means, of course, that avoiding defeat at Maidstone will make it a record; so expect us to crash and burn.

We need some players to get fit and possibly to stop considering loaning them out.
I noticed Jones wasn't in the squad yesterday. I wondered if this had anything to do with Oldham, as it's hard to get injured on the bench.

I`ve always had myself down as an optimist as well, Dev. However, years of painstaking and meticulous research have, I believe, given me just a slight understanding of the workings of the Law of Sod. It tried to do a job on us yesterday and I`m fully expecting it to make a further attempt next week.

After a tough game fighting back from having a player removed and going a goal down in the week perhaps our ever-shrinking squad was tired. Yeovil in common with most of this league are well-good-enough to take any advantage, offered or not.
If Asante and Tshimanga are injured, I reckon we need to carry more forward threat than Quigley plus an attacking midfielder like Mandeville trying to back him up. Surely, we need to give Gyasi a chance even if it involves him breaking forward from midfield? He is very familiar with both roles. Playing with Dover last season didn't offer many opportunities to hang around up front on his own.
