The "land of fire" isn't really helping mamma to be fair, it's not really helping his companies image , it's just a slogan, it could realistically apply to anything.. not like Chupa Chups, or Sanderson, they were company names, so it's not free advertising in any way, it's just a slogan that could apply to anything so why refund any money, not Wednesdays fault, all done in good faith etc , etc

Atletico have 2 sponsors and switch between the 2 anyway.

From a business/legal POV, MM agreeing a new sponsorship whilst still under contract could breach the original contract with 'Azerbaijian' and thus any compensation claim MM files could be thrown out. MM needs to wait for the outcome of any legal proceedings before he can do anything else

The news that Hutch & Lee are both out tomorrow brings the weakness of the Owls medical team back into focus.

Two weeks ago, Hutch was 50/50 to play against Forest & lee was a week away from fitness. Two weeks later & both are still unfit. Also Lavery isn't progressing & we don't know why.

This lack of quality in the medical team is costing us points & thousands in loan fees.

Don't doubt they are injury prone but how could Hutch be 50/50 two weeks ago & now be ruled out. That was a terrble prognosis.

What we do know is that the medical team brought in by Lee Strafford worked wonders. After years of injuries, we had two years of minimal injuries until MM got rid of them as a cost cutting measure. Since then, we have had injuries galore. I understand the injury prevention activities have stopped and we have hsd to spend loads on loan fees to cover for the injured players.

According to SG Lavery is on schedule with his return and rumours of him needing an operation are made up, Hutch and Lee are both struggling so won't be risked. That's according to his Bolton press conference anyway

I can't remember MM getting rid of any physio/medical personel but this bit in bold is not true.
The 2009/10 season we had Simek, Tudgay, Esajas, Jeffers, Tommy Miller, JJ, Leon Clarke, Sean McAllister all suffering injuries and being out for longer than really should have been the case.
JJ did his hamstring missed months. Tudgay broke his toe missed months. Simek was LT (could argue it wasn't avoidable).

The season before you could add Sodje.

The Injury Prevention Team (under former Physio Alan Smith) was only brought in in March 2010 so had no affect on the 09/10 season. They worked with Wednesday for two full seasons (10/11 & 11/12), during which we had less preventable injuries (muscle/ligament/tendon) than we had in any season for as long as I can remember. Since then, it seems to be injury after injury. In the last two seasons, Lee, Gardner, Reda & Buxton have been unavailable for matches than they have been available.
