Play Offs against Luton
#51
We were lucky in 1st half to not go behind.
Better 2nd half but still not flowing footy like we've seen this season.
Say what you like about Carlos Corberan, but he he has got us one game away from the dreamland. And got us to 3rd in the league on 82 points.
I don't think another coach could have done that with the squad we have. He knows how to get the best out of our current squad.
Cannot believe people still doubt the guy.

It's funny how fans see the game, we were talking to Luton fans on the way out and we were saying they were unlucky and we got away with it. The Luton fans were saying they played the better football but we created the better chances. Certainly didn't feel like that in the first half..

Anyway, train tickets booked, hotel booked Friday to Sunday. Just need our match tickets now

Well done Terriers...........doesn't matter how well you played, the important thing is you are at Wembley for the richest one off game in football. Thumb up

Enjoy your day ..........let's hope it doesn't go to a penalty shootout! Tongue Big Grin

We'd be quite happy if it did, though we don't have half a squad of German's this season - but even happier if, like last night, it's sorted in normal time in our favour.

Yes, £45 a ticket in the top tier but near the front and halfway line.

We gambled when we realised that the Challenge Cup was the day before the Championship final and it's paid off not having to worry about trains and hotels.

Well done Huddersfield. One more win needed.

I don't understand football managers. Successful, or unsuccessful, they think in a different way.

I could just about understand that in the first leg you were unwilling to risk Sorba Thomas until near the end, but last night he was so obviously fit and you were so obviously in need of him the delay seemed like the equivalent of self-harm. It came as no surprise that he made the goal. How he could be excluded from the Championship team of the season I've no idea! But Corboran's plan did work. You won. Thomas to Rhodes, the most likely combination to make a goal.

Similarly Nathan Jones must love you. He left his most dangerous player from the first leg on the bench and went for our-boy-Arry-rarely-scores. Cameron Jerome looked far more dangerous when he finally appeared. Mendes was another who remained seated until it was almost too late to have an influence - if you can look good for Morecambe, you must be able to play. Looking good at Accrington was a clue to how good your man Russell can be too .......

Onward ....... surely you won't leave Naby Sarr on the bench for Wembley? You'll need your strongest three centre backs against Forest. They certainly won't leave Davis on the bench for the Final.

Nice one Devon - now if Pearson is fit - we just might leave Sarr on the bench. Carlos would be more likely to put Pearson on the bench for his first game back from injury but as Sorba the Taff says, "The Professor" always has a plan.

That said, after a few dodgy early appearances, Sarr, like the rest of the back line hasn't let us down. He seems fitter and faster than at anytime since he joined us from Charlton Athletic.

You don't go from conceding 71 (last season) to only 47 (this) with a dodgy defence.

Brizzle on the other hand went from conceding 78 to 77, which is why they haven't really advanced this season despite going from 46 scored to 62.
