I forgot to mention Paul's appearances' milestone with HFC and six matches short of Willie Ormond's playing record. I don't know if he was given a special award by the club in recognition of that achievement before yesterday's match v the Dons, but well done to the skipper. It's amazing how time has "flown by" since the days when I can recall watching him playing for Hibs reserves when he was just a strapping young lad playing in the half-back position at an almost empty ER Stadium. I'm not sure where he fits in amongst the list of great Hibs CBs who graced the jersey down the years TBH? He certainly couldn't touch Frank Sauzee, Le God!! Also in big matches at Hampden, IMO he "choked" in a lotta them. One of my memorable moments linked to him must be his goal v Hertz at Tynecastle during Hibs historic Scot Cup winning season, 2015-16, and preceding the equalising second goal by Jason Cummings. Then he had a "stinker" of a semi-final v the Tangerines when Hibs heroic "roly-poly goalie", Conrad Logan, "saved his blushes" and played a huge part in getting Hibs to the final after a pk shootout. He played fairly well in the final v Rangers and finally picked up a Scot Cup winners medal. Ohhhh, happy days eh!!
