Longstaff and Gayle both summer targets for Bruce - I guess inevitable to see these links as Newcastle will be buying big in summer and these players will have no place at the Newcastle table.

I'd take longstaff, but Gayle no chance. 
We should look kindly on his previous contribution. Times have moved on, we don't have the calibre of players to support him anymore and he isn't the same player either.

If we fail to go up this year - chances we won't - should we be now looking at GEMS in League 1 or 2 instead of paying out £millions on dross? Confused

With our goallie being replaced in the England squad, that will reduce his value - yes?
