In the end a decent point after Luongo was sent off in the second half. Pompey started brightly and had a few chances, BPF saving from Hirst. We grew into the game and FDB went close and we had a few attempts blocked. BPF made another fine save just before HT. Onto the 2nd and it was fairly even until Luongo lunged at Curtis and was sent off. Pompey upped the pressure but BPF made a couple of quality saves and we blocked a couple more efforts as we dug in and held on for a point.

Next up and a trip to Crewe. Not played these much, the last being 15 years ago when we lost 2-0. They haven't had a good season and are currently 23rd in the table, but did win there last game 2-0 v Lincoln. I would expect them to struggle to stay up, so will probably beat us easily     They are managed by David Artell who has been in charge since 2017. There leading scorer is Mikael Mandron who has 5 goals. Only a win will be acceptable, so DM will probably play for a point

No pace upfront like wash mentions and a midfield / defence that could get steam rolled by an under 11s girls volleyball team.
The only positive is the bench with windaas on it who we know can change games from here .
