The expected spectator ban finally announced by the Scot Govt!

Restrictions imposed for 3 weeks at all public events and an arbitrary 500 max allowed at footie stadia(?)
Celtic FC has responded by asking for a fixture reshuffle (bring some fixtures forward, change the dates!) and bring in an early winter break. I notice Saint Johnstone now affected by Covid and having to play out their next fixture. IMO it makes the whole footie league operation a farce as I reckon some Scot footie clubs are definitely "playing the system" while others are following the rules,. Totally unfair and it makes a mockery of the league operation in place. Advantage for some, disadvantage for others! I notice the same questions being raised down south.

10 out of 12 clubs agree the two that don't are Rangers and Ross County, which could scupper any plans along with a Sky deal that now looks to have a bumper pay day for them. Already on alot of supporter forums that fans will turn out outside grounds anyway if fixtures go ahead as people have simply had enough.

I really cannae be arsed with the Huns doing their usual number, obstructing what is for the good of everyone involved just because it might...might help celtic more than them. I could not give less of a xxxx about their rivalry, which has been a stain on this country for too long.

Hibs and Hearts both support it and it seems to me like the right thing to do.

I had a wee gander on the hun forums and they are all up in arms about it, Journalists talking about them storming hampden etc.

Genuinely amazed that they are that raging, but then again that seems to be their natural state with pretty much everything.

It's that "siege mentality" Jim. It has never gone away since they were banished from the top league all these years ago and the majority of Scottish footie fans backed their removal and dismissed any kinda special favour being given to them to stay in the "top flight". The footie club itself, RFC, definitely "stokes up" this bullshit, been doing it for years, and it has been really disappointing to watch the accountable footie authority up here not challenging their all round negative behaviour covering lotsa issues. I reckon UEFA would've "hauled them in" for a serious dressing down or more severe action by now. We don't do that here, a joke! I commented years ago that their absence was great for the good of Scot footie in general and I'd be proved right when their poisonous behaviour returns as they were gradually climbing up the lower leagues and trying to finally get back to the Scot Prem - sadly proved 100% correct!
