Just to confirm; that's not Blackpool beach Big Grin

As Santa starts his annual 364 day holiday, we welcome the Seasiders to sunny Huddersfield. And, yes, we did once create a beach resort in Greenhead Park.

I can't see that anyone's going to bother much with a match thread during the festivities so I'm not going to go OTT. Therefore, Short 'n' Sweet Publications is introducing an even shorter version although not necessarily sweet.

Last meeting was on 14th September at Bloomfield Road. We got a good result, beating them 3-0. Goals from Koroma, Pearson and Hogg!

Who will be stuffed and bloated on Boxing Day? Who will be hung over in the stands?

Which one of these old favourites floats your boat? (not the Royles above... the sweets below)

Scrabble for me but we no longer bother on Christmas Day.

Any favourite Christmas TV moments you want to share?
I know it's more like a TOTD but there won't be much life on here at Christmas. We're busy and Boris isn't locking us down.
Have fun y'all.

Nice one, Chaffers. Don't worry about it being short n sweet. I'll make up for that with the Forest match. Big Grin

I'd have to go for heroes or celebrations personally, more in those that I like.

Speaking of chocolate, my grandma used to always get a box of mingles, used to love each one of those, shame they discontinued them for some stupid reason.

There also used to be a box of chocolates called flake moments, which were Cadbury flake pieces but all different types, again discontinued.

I also love myself a good Lindt chocolate, expensive though

Yes, I remember both mingles and the flake ones.

Short and sweet - just as I remember you! Tongue

Quality Street - either the toffee penny or the strawberry chocolate, but I don't think my teeth could cope with the toffee penny now!!

Morecambe and Wise with Eddie Waring and Peter Woods - it's hard to imagine a less-likely song-and-dance duo!!!

And finally, a Merry Christmas to all our readers.

Them toffee pennies are lethal, ritchie. Eat with extreme caution.

As for the telly. I've recorded the classic Good Life episode for this year's Christmas treat. Seen it a million times, but it's a good un, with a classic cameo from David Battley as the Harrods delivery driver.

Carlos says: Hogg two weeks away from training again with the rest. Vallejo another ten weeks yet. Aarons has had surgery, out for the rest of the season.

The gentle touch on the match thread always works for me. Thumb up

The kwiz is a bit easier too than the one's your 'im indoors and a few others set for us.

Blackpool? Yes well the sun is shining, he doesn't have half a roll of used loo paper wrapped around his ankles, he's not up to his waist in donkey doos and the waves aren't coming in head high so it obviously isn't the North Shore beach in the middle of August is it?

Being an 'alifax lad it has to be Quality Street, love the toffees (despite their ability to extract fillings and loose teeth when least expected) and the strawberry/orange creams. Never did get on with the green triangles though for some reason.

Moving down to ritchies post, it took me ages to work out why "it's an oop and under" Eddie wasn't in the GB Olympic Gymnasties team after that performance.  Smartass

Speaking about nothing like a dame, that Angela Rippon actually had legs came as a major surprise to many of us too one Christmas, including her apparently if you saw BBC Breakfast this morning, but otherwise it was any Only Fools and Horses Christmas special. Diamonds are for Heather maybe or To Hull and Back as a suggestion or two and can you ever forget their appearance as Batman and Robin? Laugh Laugh Laugh Laugh

Twister? Those were the days my friends .... when I was built like a racing snake. I struggle to say 'twist' playing cards these days.

She's still kicking is Angela Rippon. Or Ripps as she referred to herself on Would I Tell Pork Pies Christmas special the other night.
Nearly took Rob Brydon's head off. Big Grin
