Confirmed everything I thought Barnsley away would be.
1) Cold and Wet
2) Full of dickheads who can’t handle a beer
3) Shit performance
I personally can’t wait until we start having trips to Swindon, Plymouth, Southend and Hartlepool again. Smaller turn out in the away end and back to the good old days.
As for yesterdays game. A hard watch, probably the correct result for two teams who showed very little quality on the ball. Lewis O’Brien man of the match for Town by a country mile. The rest of them not very good and shows we are vastly over achieving.
I wouldn’t be bothered if Carlos got his cards tomorrow because I fear the second half of the season is following last year’s trend

Vernon Davis has me flummoxed
As for the game, I didn't go, just saw the highlights, seems like turton got too narrow and lost his man.
Seen on datm a lot of fans wanting rid of Carlos, and tbh I think I've got a foot in either camp really, I don't really have the enthusiasm for town games atm, I feel Carlos doesn't have the rapport with the fans and doesn't seem interested in doing so on a match day. I suppose he feels his job is with the players not the fans and to an extent he's right. I think really it's just a case of fans not taking to him, I think the aforementioned rapport doesn't help but neither does the language barrier, it leads to a switch off.
As for the football, maybe this is where the switch off is occurring, I missed going to games during lockdown, now I'm not too fussed and I feel the standard and quality of football doesn't help. In terms of the football, I think we are really hamstrung as we are not really set up for any real style of play. Our midfielder and defence aren't exactly suited to playing out from the back, possibly colwill and O'Brien in a way, but the others are suited to a direct/long ball game, only problem is that ward, Rhodes and Campbell aren't, they're more suited to it being on the deck, maybe not a pure passing game, but a ball on deck style.
That's the problem Carlos has and Im not sure he is able or willing to solve it because it means changing his ways and he's too stubborn
