.....of hearing people talk about 'the Albion way'.

As a season ticket holder and frequent 'away day traveller'....I can't recall us playing 'the Albion way' since flares were cool.

What a yawn!!!!!!

If you were older you'd probably be doing it yourself - you really did miss out. I'm a boring old b*stard, and I've got a lot of pride in how we used to be. Have a good yawn.

We played some decent stuff under Mowbray but we haven't played that much great football in our recent history

I'm with you, JH and I've been watching the Baggies since the great team of 1954.

We were going in only one direction with Clarke and Irvine. Mel was never given a chance by either players or coaching staff it would appear. I was tired of us being a soft touch playing the illusory "Albion way". I would like to see us winning and confronting the opposition with a bit of steel and think TP's the man to do that.

The "Albion Way" is something to be proud of.I will never get bored of talking about it along with remembering some of the great Players of the past,Cunningham,Regis,Robson,Bomber etc.
For some of us its the reason we have remained loyal to the Baggies for such a long time!

Playing field changed the moment money became the biggest motivator in football. We have had to change our philosophy just to survive, and that's what we are witnessing at the moment.I for one remain sceptical that we will ever get back to playing the Albion way,but I will always remain proud of our heritage, and certainly never get bored!

It kinda reminds me of clubs like Wolves, Villa and Florists constantly telling us about their past exploits when telly was black and white, football pitches were mud and balls were leather.

We all have fond memories of when we was a power in English football and rightly so, however, we need to get used to games like last night because thats where we are and thats whats going to keep us in the top flight.

I have my doubts whether we will even win another cup again never mind the league.

Having said that though, luckily we are still a 'member' of the most watched football league in the World and with that comes the exposure World-wide, so no bad thing. The new 'Baggie Way' is just staying in the Premier League.

I have to agree with that pragmatic and realistic view of what is now England's top division. Gone are the days of innocence when teams could spring seemingly from nowhere and have a good season and win the league. Now, it's the clubs with the rich owners with the money to buy the best players who will win everything, and unless Financial Fair Play somehow makes things go tits up for these sugar-daddy clubs, this is the way things will be from now on.
