Daily Telegraph reporting that we have made a £4M offer to Wigan for McManaman but they want £6M.
Blackburn also reported to value Gestede at £6M (Sky Sports).
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

I'd guess at Lambert as Bill Howell in the Mail confirms interest.

Not thrilled with the McManaman link for that money.
Yes, the guy has shown flashes of brilliance, with flashes being the operative word.
90% of the time he's very ordinary and is also the type of moron that can do something
ridiculous and leave you with 10 men at any time. Seen some really nasty tackles from
him over the years.
If he comes, I will hope he can somehow have a temperament transplant and show that
his good games were not a flash in the pan. I just don't see how he's any improvement
on Varela and Samaras as wingers.... and neither of them can seem to buy a game.
Silly money being mentioned considering Wigan could be heading for League 1.

I think the best summary of McManaman I saw was from a Wigan fan on Twitter.
"Most memorable McManaman moments:
3) Calling one of our fans a div
2) Calling one of our fans a strap-on
1) FA Cup Final"
"I would rather spend a holiday in Tuscany than in the Black Country, but if I were compelled to choose between living in West Bromwich or Florence, I should make straight for West Bromwich." - J.B. Priestley
