Well he was once talked about as a future England keeper, but then so was Jordan Pickford ........... oh is he? Blimey .........
I cannot begin to read Mr Rowe's thoughts on goalkeeping. I thought he'd got it sussed when he signed Grant Smith but ......... (he's not at the Euros with Jordan Kickford is he?)
Anyway we got Stone Loach, wonder if we can get Toadfish from Neighbours? Is that right, Toady from Neighbours?

Neighbours? I know we are trying to get a trade deal but do me a favour.
Looks as though something has gone of with Grant Smith but we will never know. On the other hand maybe not and Loach has come in as No 2.
Isnt summer just great with all the speculation? We've only got 10 more weeks of it.
James Rowe's thoughts are beyond any of us but if he gets the same points per game ratio as he has since he came next season, it'll do for me.

I agree Dancing. I reckon we could do with another striker and maybe 2 defenders. Jack Clarke would be a wonderful signing after being released from Aston Villa but he's too good for this division.

What have Luke Rawson and Jamie Sharman done to deserve being released, after having their most important development seasons stunted by Covid?
What has been going on with Grant Smith and Kairo Mitchell?
Akwasi Asante won't play till the New Year, Nathan Tyson is too old to go near his own birthday cake as a fire risk, Hollis and Kerr are both currently on the dodgy list, Is Denton's plasterer's knee recovering ......... ? There are a lot of questions. But we now need James Rowe to make it completely his own squad. If he doesn't succeed then, we'll know he isn't quite as good as we thought. He doesn't actually have to agree with us to be getting it right does he?

What I'd like to see is us signing players who go both create danger out wide and contribute with goals and assists. Buy Kosylo from Altrincham and tell him to stop being such a tit with indiscipline and grab young Kane Drummond from Warrington Rylands. If we've got Danny Rowe we need to pull teams apart to help create space for him to fire in some shots. We need to make the pitch big not small. Wonder if Orsi-Dadomo is it from Maidenhead would like a move north? He'd be a very different kind of player from Danny Rowe and together they might be quite potent.
By the way Grimes was at Dover two seasons when they did very well finishing 5th and 6th in the National League ......... but I'm afraid a lot of that was due to the success of their attack. On the other Cheltenham who had finished clear at the top did sign him from Dover, so someone liked him.

We needed back up and competition so he fits the bill IMO.
Re the youngsters, its maybe a matter of lets get the players we need to get us out of the league and look at the youth later.
Its sad to see them go but if its a choice between keeping 3 of them on the books in the background or 1 team player, what would it be?
This season will probably be make or break for Rowe, its the nature of the beast. Miss the playoffs and his career will take a big hit, fans will be calling for him to go. Get us up and he's a much sought after hero. Its just as important for him as it is us so he needs to get it right.
