31 Aug, 2021 Transfer Window: Championship Rebuild
Diange looks the part, Fulham looked worried and moved 10 yards further back when he came on.
All this takes pressure off the midfield and defence.
Could this be another player with presence and fortitude that we need.
All of a sudden we may have a chance.

Yukoslu defensive midfielder on his way if signed will help out the back four.
Young Spurs right back Tanganga is also reported to be a target.
Benteke is wide of mark according to Masi Express & Star

Kevin Phillips is excited by reports that ex-Leicester striker Ahmed Musa has arrived at the West Brom training ground ahead of potentially signing a deal at The Hawthorns.

I guess Superkev’s easily excited!

So have we got no one in apart from Diagne? Is that it or can we still do loans or something?

Mbaye Diagne signed (plus Snodgrass) with Okay Yokuslu (who is expected to sign today) are it so far.

Japhhet Tanganga, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Danny Rose and Christian Benteke are the most talked about suspects . Albion being Albion might find a totally new name in the final hours or more typically will claim this was a good window and nothing more will happen.

Ah, I thought the window had shut. It's February now, at least in Yorkshire.

Musa a free agent has arrived at the training ground, the ex Leicester winger should have arrived last week but was kept out by COVID restrictions. We can sign him anytime as he’s a free Agent.
There is still a chance that Maitland -Niles could arrive as Saints have pulled out because he wants to play in his preferred midfield position.
Yokuslu is close to signing just waiting on work permit for a 6 month loan with no obligation to buy.

I think with Ahmed Musa it's probably a case of just taking a look because he's a freebie...

Historically, he's certainly got better pedigree than what we have at the club though.

He's scored in 2 World Cups, 2 goals in each. Regularly got into double figures in the Russian top flight. His goal to games ratio if far super to the likes of Matty Phillips and Kamil Grosicki, despite the fact Phillips has spent much of his career playing outside the top flight and Musa has always been a top flight player. Obviously didn't really do it with Leicester, but that was a strange period of transition after they won the league.

In his prime he was a flying machine and a very good finisher.

Can he do it now, after 3 years in the Saudi league? I have my doubts.

There's always that doubt about the age of Nigerian players too. Musa is only "28", but it seems a bit strange retiring to the Saudi League at 25 years old...
