Sorry to be a little late with getting these scores up but there was a little ruckus this side of the pond that caused a delay. There has been some chatter online that there would be a protest regarding the usual rule of all scores at 90 minutes being used, this rule has always been in place but it would seem that some in the leadership feel this is fake news and are suggesting that their followers storm my kitchen to raid the fridge and starve me out to get the rules changed after the count has been made!! This has caused me to hunker down for a couple of days while I secure my fridge from the likes of Beefy and I am considering commencing some sort of fresh fruit proceedings!!

On to the real scores for week 14, first off we can simply forget mention of the Gamball this week, everyone got it wrong in the PL!! Despite this top of the pile this week is Bomber with 12 points, he scored on 6 games and was one of only 4 players to register a correct score, he back this up with a CR bonus and after his slow start he is continuing his climb up the table in defence of his title. Joint 2nd spot goes to BBB and St Charles on 10 points and both will continue their push at the top of the table with identical records in terms of scoring this week.

In 4th place is Themaclad, a much needed better week from him in terms of position but it only came with 9 points in what was a close week for scoring so might not make much difference to the table. Derby is in 5th on 7 points, along with Themaclad he was the only player to pick up a point with that last gasp equalizer for Newport!! Twerton is in 6th on 5 points, he is going to have to discover last season's form quickly if he is going to get away from the bottom.

Joint 7th this week is shared by Sanjay and AAA on 2 points. Sanjay had a poor week, scoring points on only 2 games although one was his bonus. AAA broke with his rule of not playing the Gamball with WBA looking like certain winners at lowly Blackpool, but that came back to bite him in the ass as we all saw!! He also missed out on his Bonus so despite scoring on 4 games this was virtually wipes out by his poor ball use! Joint bottom of the pile is Amelia and Snooty on -4, I am pretty sure their home wasn't a particularly fun place to be after this weekend's results!! For the record they had identical scoring and only actually scored points on one game and failed to deliver on any of their balls!!

So how has this affected the table? BBB retains his lead, but back into 2nd spot is SCO who overtook Sanjay courtesy of that last minute goal for Newport!! Amelia is still in 4th place but Bomber is now breathing down her throat just a point behind. AAA is 6th, dropping down a spot but still well clear of the bottom 4. Derby put some room between him and the bottom three but Lord Snooty's poor week pushed him closer to the automatic drop zone. The bottom 2 stayed the same but Twerton again lost ground to Themaclad above him.

BBB - 173
St Charles - 158
Sanjay - 156
Amelia - 123
Bomber - 122
AAA - 117
Derby - 101
Lord Snooty - 96
Themaclad - 92
Twerton - 84

This week's scores have been subject to massive fraud, rules changed at the whim of certain committee members without proper authority, reports written while under the influence of alcohol etc etc. Maybe I should gather my supporters to march on SCO's house to protest (could be a good day out in California but you'd have to provide your own transport.) I know we've always chosen cup scores after 90 minutes but this ridiculous rule cost me 10 points this time - I demand a recount - who was the imposter who added them up this week?

And breathe. Not a great week's scoring with only 2 players getting the gamball result correct - and one them chose not to play it (guess who? Another 2 points thrown away). Score balls were also rare but we do have 2 players standing out from the crowd, both of them getting 6 results correct. Stairs and DD head this week's table, Stairs adding 1 correct score to his 6 results plus positive bonus and score balls, with DD the only person to gain points on the gamball by correctly predicting another great performance by the Baggies in holding mighty Blackpool to a draw. Minizin takes 3rd place thanks to a spot on bonus though he'll regret his late edit moving his scoreball from Villa-Liverpool to QPR-Fulham.

Zinman takes 4th despite the aforementioned unjust 90 minute rule turning a correct score into zero and a 3 point bonus into minus 3. Playing the gamball would also have helped. Joker had a decent week with 5 correct results but was unable to get any of the scores right and, like everyone outside this week's top 4, showed far too much confidence in Albion losing points on the gamball. BaggieOne and Somerset both got 6 points while Silver was, like Zinman (have I already mentioned this?) robbed of 6 points, getting his bonus ball spot on......after extra time.

Lady Jane had yet another poor week, failing with all her balls and is in danger of being cut adrift at the foot of the table. No show from Beefy, I understand he's been having connection issues but I hope we see him back soon.

No massive changes in the overall league positions. Zinman remains top with Minizin still in 2nd place though with Stairs table topping performance the gap between 2nd and 3rd has narrowed to just 2 points. DD climbs 1 place ahead of Silver with Joker and Beefy also changing places. At the bottom BaggieOne has crept above the 100 point mark leaving Lady Jane now marooned 17 points behind.

Zinman 150
Minizin 141
Stairs 139
Somerset 129
DD 126
Silver 122
Joker 113
Beefy 108
BaggieOne 102
Lady Jane 85

05-01-2021, 20:26  This looks like an easier week to predict - but is it, as we've many times been fooled with teams only putting their reserves in their team - be warned [Image: whistling.gif]

I thought the Albion result was one of the more predictable ones!

Oooch That 90 minute score ruling has cost me dear.

After extra time I had the QPR v Fulham score spot on and it was my bonus ball too.

But I had the Cheltenham v Mansfield result (not score) correct at 90 minutes.

Thought I had at least managed a fairly miserly 10 points but, no wonder Donald gets so airyated when things go wrong and why he demands a re-count.
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.
