If Gibbs, Phillips, Sawyer's or Livermore are selected again - sack Sam immediately. Sack Dowling and his recruitment team for not having a clue and proving it. All this Mamby Pamby crap has to stop.

Don’t disagree with most of your statement but Livermore will not be available anyway against Arsenal. But the thing with Livermore he would not have thrown the towel in against Leeds. At least you get effort from him. I do agree we now need him replacing though along with a few others. I for one didn’t want Bilic sacked but these are his Championship players and they are proving week in and week out there not good enough. I didn’t want Allardyce but we have to give him a chance to bring in his signings and see how we get on.I hope a leader like Deeney is first on his list.

I have already posted we need a 25 year old fit Deeney. Bilic's downfall was directly down to himself. Not getting the midfield / defensive general we have
been desperate for when he had the chance. If some couldn't see or admit it, the light has now been switched on and it's obvious to one and all.
The mental strength of the team is now broken and without a run of good performances, it wont be back. Far to many of our players are now just
taking the money. Sam has to not just bench them, he has to remove them completely. One bad apple is as bad as Covid.
We want and need determined winners not a bunch of shoulder shruggers, i'm looking to Sam to wield the AXE now.
If he does great, if he doesn't the sooner he goes the better. The time for nicely softly softly approach has been and gone.
Bilic tried that and the players abused the trust he put in them, time and time again.
I hope Sam doesn't fall into the same trap.
Not forgetting Dowling - if him and his 17 strength recruitment team dont get us 4 strong fit players for our spine it's time for them
to go - how many windows has he had - he is a disgrace IMO.
Moaning done for now.

Was just looking at that line up and thinking we haven't got a hope... but then realised that's pretty much as good as it gets with the current squad.

I'm assuming Grant is a positive covid test as he's not even on the bench and Diaby making an appearance in the squad.

Kipre also missing after being on the bench in the week.

So Sam takes the easy option, we now know he is just here for the pay cheque.
I'm really disappointed - no new signings and he plays the unfit wasters again.
Gibbs on the bench, why I ask - is Furlong better then Gibbs ?
If anyone says Gibbs ain't fit - he shouldn't be on the bench.
I don't think the gunners will stick 5 past us on this snowy evening.
I will go baggies 0 Gunners 4

2-0 down after half an hour and 11 goals conceded in Allardyce's 4 matches so far.

It’s like training ground match for Arsenal. We are clueless; no pace, no creativity, no power, no-one creating space, no marking, no tracking back. It’s good to see Allardyce is making a difference

We need some snow. Heavy snow. As this is the usual shower of pedestrian shite. However we are managing to at least get out our own half

We really need to be looking at resigning Gareth Barry to add some energy and pace to our midfield...

In all seriousness, I'm not happy with Big Sam's selections so far, which is a bit embarrassing after championing him so much for the job. The selections pretty much mimic his inept predecessor. For me it's blatantly obvious that we don't have the quality to outplay teams so we need to move to a more industrial line up, get as many big blokes in as possible, play direct, play the percentages.

Play to other teams weaknesses.

But what I will say is that we have very little quality at our disposal and I can't blame Big Sam for that.

It's not his fault we have only 1 right back at the club who is a bog average championship player. The fact we don't have a single defensive midfielder at the club. The fact that all but one of our "forwards" are really wingers and don't make any attempt to get onto balls into the box. The fact the only proper striker we have is completely immobile. The fact we decided to spend £40m in the summer on a load of wingers, none of which have top flight experience.

But that said, the changes need to be rung...

There is little point persisting with Grady who is a non entity. Saywers doesn't have the energy to play in a 2 man midfield, so if Pereira plays, Ajayi must be pushed forward.

But that said, the reality is that we're just desperately short of Premier League quality. The only experienced Premier League player we have who has a willing mentality is several years past his best. The only decent full back we have is always injured, and even his quality is questionable. Not one of the "exciting young creative players" we have signed have convinced me they are good enough to play at this level. Our star player has the pace of a snail. I'm starting to think it's a task too far for any manager without mass incomings asap.
