Hibs v Livingston, Sat 2 January, KO 3.00pm
#1
Well this next Scot Prem fixture is not an ideal one for Hibs after losing tonight's match v the Staggies in such an unacceptable way. But they must regroup and really try to overcome what now appears to be a prob in consistently attaining positive results at home - too many draws even though attaining a nine game unbeaten run!! I think Jack Ross really has to sit down and reassess where he can improve team performance compared with tonight's lacklustre display in a tactical embarrassment to the manager - WE NEED TO FIND A WAY TO BREAK DOWN DEFENCES LIKE THIS ONE AND OTHERS! The Lions are clearly playing well and Hibs now look on the brink of a losing run! Gotta "break the mould" and play to the strengths of the team. He must also demand a bigger commitment from the likes of Boyly and Doidgy or finally drop them. I think Boyly particularly can contribute a lot more but doesn't. The manager must demand more focus on scoring goals and stop scorning the opps created. Why do we never score more than one goal at ER Stadium in recent times and esp with some of the strikers who are being given a fair amount of good scoring opps??? Kevin Nisbet must know himself that he needs to do better and show more ambition in the process. As for Doidgy, it is "hit n miss", always has been, Boyly - not enough "strikes" in great positions. Anyway, Gogic must start and my advice to JR - please study how the game unfolds and adapt to it this time with suitable subs!! Reflect back to how we beat them the last time! Show the video rerun to the players and discuss how they did it, the good things etc etc!! C'mon Hibs! Get back to winning ways pronto!

Not sure about a reaction to the Ross game. After 40 minutes today, now need a reaction to going 2 goals down to Livi and barely laid a glove on them. Seems like game over already, unless........we change to plan B  Big Grin  Tongue  Wink

Efi just relighting his pipe and adjusting his slippers.

Doidge so slow and if Newell could shoot he'd be some player lol.

Same old, same old................. Doh

Incidentally, pitch looks quite poor?   Huh

Halftime : Hibs 0 : 2 Livingston. ..........going well for Bartley, Ambrose, Robinson and of course Holt.

Just into the second half and their third goal sums us up Doh ........Robinson even more pleased now.

Turned off now and will catch up later at full time.

This is xxxx ridiculous. Each goal more of a joke than the last one. Hanlon having an absolute mare.

Efe absolutely strolling it out there.

So much for getting a reaction at the weekend. Ross has no idea how to change a game. He's another" plan b is do plan a better" kind of guy

Let me know when Hibs turn up - probably for a 6pm kick-off. A walk in the park for Livingston so far, with the same amount of effort.

This is all so predictable TBF. Hanlon shouldn't have even started this match IMO! Ross has done nothing to tackle a problem that has been self-evident since the Rangers game at Ibronx. Didn't freshen up the team, didn't at least try to motivate players in a situation where it was pretty obvious that Hibs were facing a huge threat of hitting a dreadful run of negative form and didn't set up a solid defensive formation that at least makes it difficult for opposing sides to score goals against us - all too easy and IMO Ross's "coat should be on a shoogly peg" after this unimpressive shit! Playing Hanlon alone was an unforgiveable error!! Thumb down No coincidence that Efe is strutting about while Hibs captain looks like a donkey in fitba boots. The alarm bells should've been "ringing loud n clear" when Hanlon was "skinned alive" by Ross Co's winger Hylton for the Staggies' decisive second goal on Wed night. My starting Hibs team v Livy today wouldn't be losing 0-3!! I'll bet there are a good number of Sunderland fans who are "nodding their heads" re the critical comments being made on this OP and the previous one re the Ross Co debacle - DEJA VU.

He's way too passive on the touchline. Even the Yorkshire bore showed bit of fire now and again. If we don't get ourselves in the lead in games we tend to toil because his in game management is quite poor.

Oh well. Time for some beer and steak pie.

Better than the cold turkey on offer for the next 9 days. Or the next roasting to come.
