First half we were dreadful, but you've got to hand it to them in the second half.
The defence again were awesome and the support they got from Diangana, Phillips and even Sawyers was superb.
I have been very critical of Sawyers but credit where it's due, his second half performance was a massive improvement than of late.
Oh, and Johnstone, currently the best English keeper by a mile.

Excellent performance and result.
First half, we defended stubbornly but didn't really get the balance right as it was purely rear guard action. Unfortunately, the our one lapse was punished with real quality.
Second half I thought we were very good. Equally stubborn, but carrying a threat on the break. Grew into the game and always looked capable of getting that goal back. Made a defensive lapse at the end after equalising, but luckily Johnstone was in top form to preserve the point.
I think that has to go down as the best performance of the season, when you consider Liverpool have turned everyone over at home.
When I saw the team, I didn't think we were capable of getting anything except a spanking. But it seems Sam has really drilled the lads on the training ground this week. Everyone seemed to know their job and even the players who you don't associate with defending really put a shift in. Sawyers was tackling, Grady busting a gut to get back and help Gibbs, while Phillips looked like a different player in the middle.
2 big games to come at home against Leeds and Arsenal. Could really do with following this performance up with 4 points to start believing.

Don’t get too excited just yet, VAR is still looking at the Sam Johnstone save and trying to work out if they can award a retrospective goal, evidently one of his socks was slightly lower than the other when he dived.

A game of 2 halves again
In the 2nd half we gave possibly one of the best teams in the world a game and matched them. Something for Sam to build on. SJ worldy saved us at the end, his value is on the up. With a couple of new generals our relegation could be in doubt. COYB.

Well crikey!!
Was that a Sam Masterstroke, giving Phillips the captaincy? Didn't see a massive amount of the game but I haven't seen Phillips play that well for a few years!

Not sure I get that we were terrible first half we were defensively excellent that Liverpool only had one clear chancek. If you noticed as Sam said we switched it round after half an hour and gave Grant extra help.Second half as Sam gave them more believe and it’s been years since any side had more on target chances than the home side.
That was a great performance by all the players, none of them need any criticism after that performance. That Save at the end from Johnstone had to be seen to be believed it was wonderful. Now onwards to Leeds.
Have to agree Phillips was inspired by the captaincy.
