Alladyce, Hughes (please god no), and Pearson in the frame.
I do believe Slav has made some glaring mistakes with tactics and selection,  but will be sorry to see him go, if he does.

Percy of telegraph confirms Bilic probably gone tomoz with Alladyce taking over. We will see.

That's that then
How stupid I'm done if they get rid of Slaven for Allladice

But the Perc has spoken..

Slaven Bilic set to be sacked by West Brom in the next 24 hours. Will be the 1st Premier League casualty of the season #wba https://t.co/tyYIGSjznH

If these rumours are true, then I despair. I don’t think sacking Slaven is the right move but, if it did happen, to replace him with either Allardyce or Hughes would probably finish me as a Baggies fan for the last 58 years. The thought of either of those feckin dinosaurs taking over is crass beyond belief

Sorry cannot agree with the above statement I support WEST BROMWICH ALBION not the manager. I will always be behind whoever comes in . But I know we will like some better than others. I don’t want Alladyce but if it’s him so be it . He will get my support.

I really hope this is not true even if Big (head) Sam was 8/15 favourite back in Apr 2019, there was no place for him at the club then, IMO there is not now either. They say he is a survival specialist well so was Pullis and I would rather be in the Championship with Slaven, then have to put up with that again.

Honestly don't understand why people are so against Sam Allardyce. I mean if there is a better CV for keeping struggling teams up, I'd like to see it.

There seems to be a stigma around older English coaches that makes them less popular than younger foreign counterparts, even with a superior CV.

The negativity is bizarre given his record. It's imperative we stay in this league, especially with the financial implications of covid. Relegation can mean freefall.

Allardyce is, based on history, hands down the best choice to keep us up.

Of course we could go down with him in charge. Any manager will have their work cut out with this set of players and a lack of balance within the squad. But at least he gives us a shout.

Look what he did with Sunderland, Blackburn, Bolton and where they are now. Bolton were in the top 6 in the Premier League when he left. Where are they now?

The comparisons with Pulis are based on what exactly? The fact they are both British and in their 60s? Because it's not based on the CV...

Pulis managed 3 teams in the top flight, Allardyce has managed 7. Pulis flopped when given money, Allardyce took Bolton to Europe with some of the most exciting players in the history of the Premier League like Jay Jay Okocha and Youri Djorkaef. Apart from the fact they both kept Palace up - which I'd be happy with a similar result for us - I simply fail to see the comparison. Allardyce is more of a Hogdson in than Pulis, he's pragmatic, but he can also add a touch of flair to the team which Tony Pulis was totally opposed to.

We sit here today lauding a 1-1 draw with Man City simply because we showed determination, pride and organisation. The fact that we didn't have a shot 2nd half is irrelevant (or even a corner), because we were simply happy to see the lads trying after an array of embarrassing, meak performances. I believe Allardyce will give us that kind of effort week in and week out. If he fails to, it will be the first time that he has.

We're not playing exciting free flowing football under Bilic. Frankly, we rarely look like scoring. We average less than 1 goal per game and ship 2. IMO we should be in favour of employing a manager with a track record of success, that builds from a solid spine and will give us more of the battling displays that we lauded today. The result showed today that we can do the unexpected if we are actually setup correctly and are dogged. With a bit more work on our counter attacking, we could pick up points on the road with this mentality. Allardyce will guide us to those points like Hodgson did. And to alleviate the worry of him perhaps making us more defensive, never in his Premier League managerial career has an Allardyce team averaged less than 1 goal per game.

Sacking Bilic seems harsh to me. Going by the result against city the players are behind him, Going by other games I've caught you definitely have had a share of bad luck with some results.

Replacing him with allardyce is bonkers. His time has gone.

I don’t want Allardyce anywhere near my club. The only thing in his favour is that he’s not quite Pulis.

Bilic we all love him, but far to many repeated mistakes, he caused his own downfall. Ironically after his best result as our manager he is dismissed. That's the baggies all over. Obviously the results against Palace and Newcastle were the end and the idiots who are running the show expected a landslide at MC.

You forgot Sam can influence people off the pitch it's a known tactic of his. No more issues with VAR in the future.

I take your point and I also support the club, not the manager. In those 58 years, I’ve seen some unbelievably dumb decisions but I’ve continued to support and I know I’ll do the same in the future. It does not, however, lessen my feelings of anger and frustration; does this club never learn? From Pulis in 2017 to now, we have had five managers in three years, including Jimmy Shan. A complete lack of continuity and consistency; change managers that often and what do you expect. I certainly don’t want us to be relegated but, as someone who loathes the Premier League, neither do I fear it. We are a club who has, and will continue, to move between the PL and the Championship unless we are taken over by a sovereign wealth fund or oligarch- and there are many other clubs similar to us. However, if we want to progress, then I believe we need to start developing a longer term plan beyond the short term thinking of “if we get relegated, it’s a disaster”. Included in that plan would be an ambitious, forward looking and young(ish) manager who we invest in and stick by for once, even when the going gets tough, as it always does at some point. Do Allardyce, Hughes or Pearson tick any of those boxes? Absolutely not.
I fully appreciate there are others on the board who would welcome Allardyce and that’s fine; it’s just that I’m not one of them. Bilic has made mistakes, I fully acknowledge that and I’ve also ranted about some of his selections but I just want us to stop this hire and fire approach which has not worked.
