Very good scoring week with only one player ending in single digits. Each game saw good scoring being achieved but one game saw a zero points haul, it would seem we all had some faith in the Baggies getting something out of the game against Palarse, Twerton even had a Baggies win as his Bonus but Pereira, or depending on your view VAR, put paid to that!!

For the third week in a row BBB has taken top spot with an impressive 26 points. He scored points on 9 of the 10 games although he only managed to get one CS, luckily for him that was on the Gamball!! In 2nd spot is Sanjay on 22 points, after a few weeks of lower scores Sanjay finally got a week to come together!! Like BBB he got a correct score on the Gamball, his only CS as well and backed that up with 5 CRs. Joint third with 18 points is Lord Snooty and Twerton. Snoots got a weeks high 3 CSs but missed on his Gamball keeping him under 20 points, his beloved Terriers unlikely clean sheet also cost him a Scoreball point.. Twerton will have helped his relegation battle no end by getting a CR on the Gamball but he was one of only 2 players to miss on the Bonus.

AAA comes in 5th on 17 points, like the two above him he managed to score points on 7 games but his consistent non-playing of the Gamball cost him three points that would have seen him two places higher. Amelia was 6th with another solid week on 16 points. She did play the Gamball and got a CR but missed on her other balls and was one of only two players who thought Wolves would get anything at Anfield. Derby is in 7th place with 15 points, he scored on 7 games but missed the Gamball although he scored on his other balls to make up for it.

St Charles comes in 8th, his historical inability to turn CRs into CSs again reared it ugly head as he was one of only two players not to get a single CS. He did manage to get 7 CRs but missed the gamball, and crucially he got a CR on the Bonus by predicting an Owls loss for the first time ever!! Shame on him!!! After a few good weeks Bomber put in a weak performance this week ending in 9th place on 10 points. He only managed to score on half the games and missed the Gamball. Bottom of the pile this week is Themaclad on 7 points, he has now finished in the bottom three in 6 of the last 7 weeks and his relegation plight will not be helped at all this week with everyone else doing well.

So what does all this mean to the table, not much in terms of positions but a few key things changed. BBB extended his already sizeable lead at the top to 34 points!! St Charles stays second but the pack is closing in on him, Sanjay is back in third just 11 points back now. Amelia dropped a place to 4th spot and now opened up a gap on AAA and Bomber who are 10 points back in joint 5th. Lord Snooty in 7th pulled ahead of Derby this week. The bottom two swapped places this week with Twerton finally getting off the bottom and now sitting 2 points ahead of the struggling Themaclad.

Cheers

Wow. A record breaking week in the Championship - the highest scoring week so far by some distance, 5 players breaking the 20 point barrier (only previously achieved once this season) with 1 reaching the magical 30 point mark. 7 players broke or equalled their previous best score and one player managed to score points on every game. Balls were very productive - 5 positive gamballs, only 1 missed bonus and just 2 blank scoreballs. All of the top 4 scored on all their balls.

Top of the pile is Silver with a remarkable 30 points. He was the only player to get the gamball spot on, one of 3 correct scores, and he only missed out on 2 matches. Zinman is only a point further back with 9 correct results - he also scored with the scoreball on the match he got wrong - and was another player with 3 correct scores. BaggieOne takes 3rd place on a measly 25 points - again 3 correct scores but "only" 7 correct results - must try harder!

DD and Minizin were the others to break 20. DD equalled Silver's 8 correct results but only got one score correct. Minizin was a point further back, one of the 2 players to miss out on his scoreball.

18 points would have been enough to top the table most weeks but is only enough for mid-table this time. Beefy and Somerset had identical scores though their decision not to play the gamball had different outcomes - Somerset missing out on 3 extra points, Beefy saving himself 3 from an incorrect prediction. Stairs was late to the party (hope your mother's ok) and missed out on one match. Another player to be grateful for not playing the gamball as he reached a respectable 14 points.

With such high scores, a bad week may have a dramatic impact on the overall table. Joker got 5 correct predictions but lost out on all his balls to scrape just 4 points. Still better than Lady Jane - just 2 correct results though she avoided a negative week by one of them being her bonus (she was also one of one of 2 players to predict a Brentford draw).

We have a new overall leader. Minizin's 4 weeks at the top come to an end after being overhauled by the more experienced, better looking, and more modest member of the Zin family. these 2 have opened up a bit of a gap to 3rd place where Beefy benefits from Joker's poor week. Stairs, Somerset and Silver all climb one place with Joker dropping from 3rd to 8th. BaggieOne may only be in 9th place but this week has seen a closing up of the table with only 8 points separating 4th from 7th. Adrift at the foot of the table are DD, who at least climbs off the bottom and Lady Jane.

Both tables are similar at this stage. Two players out in front with a gap down to a tight midtable and then another gap to a couple of players who are somewhat cut off at the bottom!!
