An awful lot of gossip all over the media and other forums suggesting he is being lined up as Bilic's replacement?
He's free, PL experience and available.
I thought he was a down south guy and wouldn't move, but what do I know. Even he has bills to pay. If he came I fear it would just be a stepping stone to something else further down the line.
I'm sure he would improve our general performance, but keeping is up is a big ask.

Well the Perce has said anything but a good performance against the Spurs and it will look like the end.
As for Howe I’m unsure on this the last time he went north of Bournemouth he got air sick and left Burnley after a few months. Good call if he wants and is motivated for this job, Paul cook for me. But I just have a feeling Bilic will get a stay of execution this weekend as the players will know that anything but a performance will see him sacked. I really think the players will be up for this match. What do I know I always try to be positive and I’m normally wrong.

Bilic should be given 15 games at least. We weren’t even the best team in the championship last season and everyone wanted Grady, krov and Peiriera back. We’ve added Grant, Gallagher, Ivanović, Kipre and Button.

Sacking him now would be a mistake but just my opinion. He deserves better support from the board and us fans. He’s the best manager we’ve had in a long long time.

Loads of people on Facebook and the like banging on about Eddy Howe. Some are saying Pochettino! Reality check required.

Give him time. We are most likely going to be relegated either way. He did say himself he had a two year plan to get us promoted but it came a year early. I’ve got faith in him for now.

Totally agree, Worldclass.
Another very important issue is money. Our beloved owners haven't put a bean into the club so SB has his hands well and truly tied with players he can bring in. Any new man (... or woman!) would have the same restrictions, so who is going to come in knowing that?
I get it when some are questioning SB's tactics, selections, etc to some extent, but we are NOT 'in the know' - we don't know the players, we don't see them between games. We are no more than armchair critics, back seat drivers. We are NOT experienced club & national coaches...... but we still know better!
Me? It'll take till the end of the season before I could even think about turning against him. I still believe he's the best we've had for a long, long time.

Ah, an Albion manager named Howe. What could possibly go wrong?

Managerial bandwagon is gathering momentum. But I really believe we need to be very careful what we wish for.
With the latest suggestions that we are going after Alladyce, or god forbid Bowyer, then I would strongly urge the fans to throw their support behind SB,
Not that what the fans think will have any bearing on what the owner does.
I'm not saying we MUST keep SB, just that if he is to be replaced it has to be with someone who will make us better.

Personally I'd be in favour of Alladyce as I think he would give us the best chance of staying up.

Granted, it will be a tough task for anyone with our squad, but at least he has a track record of keeping teams up and knows this league. For me, it would be the least gamble.

People will say it will turn the football dour, but IMO it's dour already. I'd rather it be dour with us having a chance of grinding our results than a dour soft touch.

Not too sure about Howe tbh, as I thought he always rode his luck with Bournemouth and some of his big money signings such as Ibe and Solanke were dreadful.

If we were going for a gamble, I'd prefer Cook over Bowyer, but both did well with limited resource. But for me I think knowing this league is a big plus which is why I'd go for Alladyce.

The priority IMO is most definitely staying in this league. While people will say we have a squad that could be promoted again if we go down, I don't really agree. We were very fortunate to be promoted and this bunch of mercenaries will be quick to move on...

Looking at the cold hard facts. I will say I like Bilic BUT results count for everything.
His record since the beginning of February is appalling.
We have played 29 and won 3.
For those that say keep him and give him more games.
Based on his results he has to go.
I like Bilic, I like big Darren, but it makes no difference, when results go against you that's it. The Spurs game is irrelevant.
Lee Bowyer is liked in the Mirror today.

Shocked
BB-That is a shocking figure of 3 wins in 28 Doh
I like him but sentiment wont win us games and keep us up!
If there was a standout, i'd say give him a chance! otherwise, look what happened with the Vile, they stuck with DS, went down, backed him and they look half decent!!
That said, investment is an important matter and lack of it will inspire one direction only!
I knew this season would be hard, but its four king depressive, even my 10 year old die hard said he was going to support the Villa to avoid carp at school bless him. Sad

For anyone saying bring in Bis Sam Alladyce it’s a big no from me we are now trying to play football the Albion way, bringing in Alladyce would be like going back to the Pulis era. No I still think Bilic is the right man but if it does go T***s up then we have to look at a young manager Paul Cook springs to mind. We cannot go backwards after the Pulis Pardew sagas.
