Good to see Schindy isn't playing at Centre Forward tonight

Not a bad half. Derby pressing well, not giving us any time on the ball. Pipa looks our biggest threat.
Could do to get Lewis on. A bit more bite in midfield. ![]()

I'll take goals and points like that any day of the week. We were 7th until Norwich scored in the 96th minute. Nose bleeds.

Got to say Derby were poor, particularly set pieces. It's like nobody in the team apart from Rooney is allowed to take them and as he was missing, nobody looked like they'd taken one for 12 months.
Our boys were great again though and long may it carry on. Harry the Toff outstanding and the goal was a brilliant piece of team play, finished off coolly by the Bacca boy. Hamer not much to do, but when he did, he looked solid enough again. Great to have this new keeper in the side. Pipa didn't continue in the second half like he played in the first and was taken off. Looks like he could've had a knock. Centre backs, awesome, all three of them but particularly big Stears. Oggy said Mbenza looked annoyed at being taken off. That's a good sign. He has really come on this season, not only looking dangerous going forward but confident in his defensive duties. Glad he didn't go off and sulk. Shows the boss he wants to play. Onwards and upwards. Bring on those Lillywhites. ![]()

I thought we were quite poor in the first half. Mate text me yesterday to say Toffs was 40/1 for the first goal, i text him back saying are you sure that wasnt to cross the halfway line.
Much better 2nd half and what a lovely goal. Toffs getting the plaudits for the assist but the reverse ball from Bacuna back out to him is what created the goal. It pays to be brave and pass the ball forwards sometimes, Well done Bacca Derby were shocking at set pieces and like you said Rooney probably takes them all, no doubt we got a stroke of luck him being unable to play because even now he would be the best player on the pitch

You can see why Derby are where they are in the table. Their only plan seemed to be get to somewhere close and fall over. The ref bought it every time as well. Fortunately, no Rooney, no good.
Our team looks a lot fitter. They're flooding the area when we go on attack, but they're also getting back in numbers as well. Listening to the preview show with Clem the keeper coach, it sounds like the lads are enjoying training once more. They're replicating match situations as well, which is good. Apparently they didn't like 5 a side games in training. Don't want to criticise Mrs Cowley's lads but this appears to be a big improvement from last season. ![]() |
