How opinions change after a couple of results, a couple of weeks ago Bilic was a god and Johnson the spawn of satan, now Bilic should be shown the door or window whichever is closer and Johnson is a great keeper .

All along it's Lai where any anger should be aimed, you can't fully repair a race car if you only have adjustable spanner, no matter how good you are as a mechanic and lets face it if we were all as good at football management as we think we are, we would not be the ones sat at home behind the keyboard.

IMHO we have been a inconsistent team since xmas last year. We stuttered across the promotion line. Thankfully our early form carried us through. Basically we have not improved the team in any area. Our tactics and drive are well short of what's required to pick up points in the PL. We look lost ATM. We still have a little time to shuffle the pack and bring in a couple of generals. If we don't it pains me to say but it's goodbye to Bilic.

IMO Bilic has the Burnley game to save his job. The guy is clueless.

This constant chopping and changing for formations and personnel, without any logical explanation.

The inability to identify that we lack fight, defensive awareness, the ability to mark, the desire to tackle.

Today we started with 5 midfielders and didn't lay a glove on them. Too many players jogging around who simply can't be arsed to get tight, tackle and fight.

You have to earn your right to play at this level.

The squad is totally unbalanced in favour of wingers and attacking midfielders. Today we have Phillips, Grosicki and Gallagher who don't make the squad yet we don't have a proper right back or sitting midfielder at the club. Gallagher and Grosicki are better than the players who were selected as well. It's a joke.

Let's get a manager in who understands you need to build from the back. Let's get Kipre and Ivanovic introduced, Ajayi moved into the midfield to provide legs along with Livermore and Gallagher - so we have 3 blokes in the centre of the park who are mobile and can tackle. Let's get a forward who has some physical presence, the ability to hold the ball up and actually get on the end of a cross.

Let's see how the opposition cope from free kicks when they have to mark both centre backs + Ajayi + a forward who can actually head the ball. Let's start using Sawyers and Krovi from the bench when we need an extra man in midfield to close a game up. Stop starting with 4-5 luxury players, we're not good enough!

Honestly on this evidence, we will struggle to get 10 points. The naivety with the selection is reminiscent of the Tony Mowbray years, but at least under Mowbray we could keep the ball. This side is as soft as Mowbray's side but has 20-30% possession of the ball. First half today was just a waiting game to see how long it took us to conceded.

Slav needs to wake up and smell the coffee. The squad isn't the best, but we could put out a team more likely to compete than that!

I wanted Bilic sacked after we stumbled across the line last year. For me his constantly emotional team selection (changing the side every week) almost cost us promotion.

The reality is, we went into lockdown almost 10 points clear and went into the last game with our fate outside of our own hands. By some miracle, Brentford couldn't finish the job.

As for Johnstone, he's a poor keeper who is capable of the odd good game. He played well today but still got beat by a shot straight down the centre for their first and made a royal cock up from a cross in the 2nd which he almost punched into his own net. Another obvious mistake that Bilic fails to identify. One of many.

Jones got Darren the sack, how long will it be before Sawyer's does for Bilic.
Bilic is just far to nice and loyal to players who are not doing him or the club any favours.

For crying out - give the man some space.

He was our saviour and have brought amazing talent into the club and has done amazingly well given the club’s history as a mean, penny pinching bunch of negativity.

We are cursed with a billionaire who does not seem to care a hot about making an impact either.

I will give him all season and if we fail to stay up I will give him all next season to repeat success and get promotion again.

I'm sorry but for me today's performance was laughable. I've already got the Villa fans at work taking the p*ss.

It's going to get worse when they massacre us... and the Wolves... and just about everyone else.

Unless Bilic learns and fast, we will be relegated by default with this setup because we can't keep goals out.

13 goals conceded in 4 games. Today 2 goals conceded flattered us.

I simply can't think of any other West Brom team in my lifetime that has had so little pride and fight. So many namby-pamby defenders.

Bilic knows this league, so how can he be so naive? Every cross that comes in we look like we're going to concede.

How is Gallagher not included today? We haver 3 in the midfield and 2 of them - Sawyers and Pereira - are both luxury players. Ward Prowse and Romeo had all the time in the world.

Kipre surely must by worth a place in this team...

Yes, the owner isn't putting his own money in, but we still have personnel at this club who can fight harder than that. Bilic needs to pick fighters first and stick with one formation. I mean first game of the season he selected 5 at the back without even playing it in preseason. He persists with it for 3 games and just as we start to look like we're getting used to it in the Chelsea draw, he reverts back to 4 and brings in Edwards. You just couldn't write it.

You can not get away from the fact that Bilic is failing in pretty much all departments at the moment and has been for the last 9 months or so.
As many have said on here already, his tactics, formations and team selection at times are baffling, but his inability to recognize the shortcomings of certain players is criminal. Townsend, Sawyers and Edwards are NOT premier league and if Kipre, Ivanovic and Gallagher are not an improvement on them then why bother signing them.
I've always supported SB, but I do now have real reservations about his ability to be an effective manager at this level.

Unless he was a positive coronavirus test and the club don't want to release the info for some reason?

There were 10 positive tests this week and I think Mane was the only one named.

But it did sound pretty ominous.

It is a possibility, of course he may just be he is not match fit and they do not want to tip off other clubs when he will be fit, he would not be the first player we have brought in who is a few weeks away from being fit. I must say though watching his interview he did seem to have dilutions of grandeur. still happy to give him the benefit of the doubt though
