Agree with Drewks about Bartley, actually thought he was our best player today and I'm not his biggest fan. Although have to disagree about Sawyers. Yes he was better in the second half, but overall he didn't convince me. I actually thought Livermore had a decent game, more of the 'enforcer' we need in the middle.
Bilic still needs to address left back position and I cant for the life of me work why Johnston stood and watched the first goal go in.

Livermore does deserve a shout out for his running today, he was the one still running forward at the end and trying to offer an out ball. He even ran past Phillips a couple of times and he had only just came on!

Bartley and Ajayi were both better today I think. I do feel Bartley should've been out slightly quicker to Hudson Odoi for his goal, but generally, he looked much better. Took his goal well.

Sawyers just seemed more up for it today than usual IMO. He typically relies on interceptions rather than tackles, but today he was putting a foot in. Also there was an occasion in the first half where he headed it in a scenario where he would've tried to bring it down in every other game. Not sure if he is realising he will have less time on the ball at this level or if he's been told, but he definitely seemed different.

Ironic that on the day we defend better, Johnstone decides to get up his old tricks... It's not the first time he's been routed when tested from range. If Button is half decent, he needs to come in next week...

Yes, agree totally about Liversalts, he was great today.
And Johnstone.... well. At this level you simply cannot have a keeper who doesn't command his 6 yard box, let alone his penalty area. All Teams will be teasing balls into this area knowing at least 50% will be offering a chance. And - yep - I suppose he MAY have been badly sighted but from the position he was in, even a 'blind' dive would've saved it. He should definitely have committed.
Good shot stopper but his weaknesses are so bad, and so obvious.

didn't even bother to tune in until now read the SB 3-0 posts went straight to bbc sport and came crashing back to earth are we the only team that can blow 3-0 leads every time.

I’ve been saying since day 1 that Johnstone is nowhere near good enough. He gets beaten from outside the box more than any keeper I’ve ever seen. No command of his box and as a lot of you know I call him the vampire because he’s terrified of crosses.

To not even move for Mounts effort and subsequent goal is unacceptable. His feet are always planted, he’s not on his toes like keepers should be, making minor adjustments, inches, feet or yards.

Not only does he need dropping but we need to get rid because he’s not even a number two.

This is just my opinion so don’t bite my head off. If you agree or disagree I’m fine with it.

Sawyers blew hot and cold for me, slightly better than the last two games. I’d drop him for Callagher next game. Robinson’s finishes were superb.
I do like Townsend but he was overrun quite a bit but was that because of lack of support? I’m not sure.

Bartley was very good yesterday and a quality finish

Grady and Perieria showed some nice touches. Livermore gave his usual 100%

It does feel like a loss but if anyone would have asked me if I’d take a point before kick off, well of course I would and think imagine we all would.

Sorry but I have to disagree on Johnstone. Been good behind a crap defence. He had no chance with the first, it was struck early and he could not see it till late. Read the reports . It’s only the Johnstone haters who say he should have saved it.
I notice no defenders or midfielders are copping out for not closing mount down.

I think it would be harsh to overly criticise Johnstone for yesterday, although he seemed pretty leaden footed for the first, accepting being was possibly unsighted.
However, I don’t think it’s just this game where issues lie with him. I’ve always felt pretty positive about him but he just doesn’t command his area, either physically or verbally. I know we were spoiled by having Fozzie, who was excellent at both but, in the EPL, there is little room for error and I feel he’s not making the step up that the defence needs. I would give him time but I think he also needs some coaching and positive encouragement

FFS all there seems to be in the press is how brilliant the Cheaski come back was, the BBC website are even having a poll on the best comeback. Other than passing comments nothing about how well we played in the first half and hardly anything at all about the handball on Chelski's third or the foul on the second

Agreed, it was handball pure and simple, if he hadn’t used his arm the ball would most likely have gone out for a goal kick. But it’s all ‘Great Chelski’ not ‘hard done by’ Albion.
