Seems no point in promotion and relegation if it's all about evening No's up each season. Note Football Premiership and Championship No's. in each league.

Why not leave it as it was and new players joining Championship and using the same system for promotion and relegation? 

OR 8 Premiership players, and relegated players with last years top players into Championship A group, and B from bottom of last years Championship with NEW players, then leaders of both at the end of the season in a playoff to get into Prem.   

Though if you go the way you are suggesting, I agree with Snoots being re-intruduced to the Prem.

BBB, all valid points but lets remember we are just a bunch of footy fans having a bit of fun. There is no prize money or legal ramifications to what we do. We decided as a committee that we wanted to keep the leagues similar in size, both to make it look right and to help the scorers. Its great that some new guys are joining and they are rightly joining the Championship, that means we can promote Snoots who lost in the playoffs and for us that was the fairest option.

Spot on SCO, not only the fairest but also the simplest. 2 leagues with roughly the same number of players is the easiest to score in what at the end of the day is just a bit of fun.

The days of an 8 player Prem and 2 groups below is best left to the real world and FIFA, it will also be the day I walk away from any involvement in producing any tables or write ups. We put a fair amount of our own time into producing what we do every week for 30 odd weeks of the year. Why over complicate things when what we already do provides a bit of light hearted entertainment and hopefully a bit of enjoyment.

4 blokes put a bit of fun together for anyone who wants to take part, we put a decent plan together for scoring last year which worked a treat and yes the Gamball is what it is, a week maker, a week breaker or just another game if you don't play it. Like the old saying "if it aint broke, it don't need fixing"

People got promoted because they did, people got relegated because they did, Snoots got promoted on the basis he lost a playoff to be in the top league anyway, NOTE  So there's the reason for promotion and relegation seems pretty fair to me  ( That's a clear as mud )
No one is forcing you to play , this thread gives you the option to join or leave if your not happy the exit is that way >>>

ME: Let me make this clear. I know this is a game of fun and I enjoy playing it. However my point on relegation and promotion is still valid if at the end of the day relegation means nothing if it means equalling the league no's, that was my point.
* As for a committee member telling me to .... off, and then saying if I didn't like it 'the exit is that way >>>, well that is insulting if members aren't allowed to say anything that might have been considered to improve the game.  Well that Beefy for you, and his attitude to various players over the years has seen them leave   Nuf said, let's leave it at that shall we?
