The CB from Wigan, Cedric Kipre is interesting. If he's anywhere near as good as Ajayi, he could be another bargain, and at a good age too.
I Don't really remember seeing him play though...

I would take Deeney on loan if we could offload Austin and his wages somehow? And, as long as we got someone like Karlan Grant in as first choice striker. Deeney's a leader, and a great physical presence in the box, and would be a good plan B in situations where a bit of rough stuff may be required.

I remember Kipre playing for Motherwell up here. My abiding memory is him being a right hard bastard.

Leko's gone to Blues, according to the OS. Fee undisclosed (so not much, I guess).

Interesting last paragraph from an E&S article:

"A lot of work is being done to bring the right players to The Hawthorns.

Perhaps most tellingly, though, the Express & Star understands technical director Luke Dowling is pleased that the majority of the deals he is working on are yet to enter the public domain.

There is still an awful lot we don’t know about – with a crazy window set to get even crazier over the next few days and weeks."

So it seems as though the majority of what we are reading about now IS bull!
Good to hear we're keeping our powder dry.

Just a quick update lost 1. 0. To forest in 1st pre season friendly. We were the better side but missed chances. We played 2 totally different sides in each half . We play a couple of friendly’s next week before signing off with a game against premier opposition. Let’s hope we can get some new players over the line before then.

Looks like our interest in BHA goalkeeper "Button" may have ended - stretchered off in a friendly today? Apologies it wasn't Button.
He is third choice and not playing. Why we would want to buy a goalkeeper with loads of good keepers available for free, looked a silly spend to me anyway.

Now I am not saying we should follow suit by any means, just pointing out that Leeds already spent over 40 million euro on two players. Let hope it does not go t1ts up for them.

The situation with Button was wrong it was Christian Walton who was carried off. Must admit though it’s not the keeper I would be chasing
