I had the full set, also a full set of club crests from Esso and some plastic regiment badges from Texaco. There were some 1972 olympic stickers but can’t remember which petrol station those were from.

Best we’re the pg tips cards, race into space, history of aviation, cars, etc, etc.  Again I had them all but my ex sold them at a car boot sale!

The curse of an Ex Doh
Most, if not all can be picked up from Mr Ebay - I'd forgotten about thr PG Tips cards tbh - I think Lyons were also doing various cards,
Thanks for the memory jogger.  Thumb up

Not going to say what it was, but BLM would be on my doorstep.

I too had a goog as a child - that's goog as in go....og. And do admit to having various Robertson's stickers. I also still have numerous Gonk badges.

Most kids did, the ignorance of racism at the time?
Black was also connected to death a lot and sometimes prestiege items, goods or services.
Stieff made a special edition black bear when the Titanic was lost, which was nothing to do with racism, but probably would not
be allowed nowadays.

Well, I've got to say that I grew up with Golliwogs (THERE, I've said it!) in my early years and youth, and never associated it with anything racist, and still don't.
It's all how you treat people, pure & simple.

Obviously some associated them with racism, are you not old enough to remember the 'F*** off back to the jungle (or similar) ya Golliwog' being one of the things you would often hear aimed at Regis, Cunningham and Batson, it used to wind me up something chronic.

Salops, unfortunately I'm EASILY old enough!
Yup, don't get me wrong, I abhor racism, and know that some DID associate the G word with black people and racist thoughts and actions; I'm meaning that I didn't, and still don't. I still - perhaps wrongly - see it as the innocent word I knew in my childhood
