Not going to be quite the same, we won't have chance to go and watch them for starters, but they have just announced the first couple. We play Bradford City and Fleetwood Town at the JSS, both on Weds 26th.

The Terriers will first play Sky Bet League 1 side Fleetwood Town in a 4pm kick-off before squaring off against Sky Bet League 2 club Bradford City at 7pm.

Fleetwood, who are managed by former England international Joey Barton, finished sixth in the curtailed League 1 campaign in 2019/20, losing over two legs to eventual winners Wycombe Wanderers in the Play-Offs.

West Yorkshire rivals Bradford have Stuart McCall in charge for a third spell and feature former Town favourite Lee Novak among their ranks. They finished just outside the Play-Offs on points-per-game in ninth spot.

Huddersfield Town’s friendly against Southport has been postponed following the Club’s latest COVID-19 test results.

The Club can confirm there have been a small number of positive tests for COVID-19 following the latest round of testing at Canalside. The individuals will not be named due to medical confidentiality.
Those affected will now self-isolate, in line with protocol.
The safety of players and staff is absolutely paramount, and after consulting with the EFL, the clubs have come to the decision to cancel the pre-season friendly.
We will continue to strictly adhere to the EFL’s COVID-19 protocols, ensuring that Canalside remains a safe environment for the players and staff.
