..... when the season ends, do we actually WANT to go back up into the Greed League?
I would say 'yes' - but would definitely understand others saying 'no'!

Also, this Saturday: Leeds v Fulham. What's best for us?
I'd say a Leeds win which would keep the gap between the top 2 and the rest as big as it can be* - as I've already said, personally to finish 1st OR 2nd would be just fine and dandy.

(* providing we can avoid defeat at Brentford!)

Thoughts?

West Brom win and Leeds to draw for me.

I'd like to get 3 if not 4 points clear of Leeds as second is first loser. Once we are that far ahead Leeds can keep winning and maintain the gap behind us both.

There is still a large part of me that would love to see Leeds slip into play-offs and fail to get promotion as 'it is what they do'

The only reason the PL has any appeal is because of the financial security it brings. We're never gonna compete with the big boys, we will get lucky and catch them on an off day and steal a few points along the way. We should be looking at continuing to strengthen the squad IMO and keep our heads above water.

I agree totally with Blue Baggie but would also say that’s what Leicester thought but if you can get on a run who knows what can happen. Last season and this season The Wolves have shown with a bit of ambition look what can happen. Also Sheffield Utd were doing great up to lockdown.

I have to say I’m with Blue Baggie. I want us to finish in the top two because competition is all about success and not just competing, which is why I hate the Premier League. I agree that what Wolves have done is pretty remarkable but there has been a huge slice of luck along the way in the nature the investment in the club. This does not apply to us; if/when we are promoted we will just be fixture fodder with the overwhelming ambition of “not going down”. I hate the PL, I’d happily see us competing every year to be top of the Championship but it doesn’t work like that. So, here’s to promotion followed by a season of beatings and likely relegation. Sorry to be such a grumpy negative old sod Confused
