Well, unsurprisingly we lost but at least we kept the score down. We defended fairly well in the first half with the closest City coming was when Otamendi headed against the bar. The closest we came was when Murphy shot narrowly wide from distance. Onto the 2nd half and City stepped up a gear and Wildsmith had to make several saves. But City finally scored when Aguero turned and fired past Wildsmith who did get a hand to it but the ball dropped in. City controlled the rest of the game but poor finishing and some decent saves kept us in it. We nearly forced extra time when Fletcher was inches away from a Hunt cross.
THE MATCH
Back to the league and we make our final trip to Griffin Park before they move into there new stadium. Brentford lie 5th in the table and will hope to stay there and try and get promoted through the playoffs as they are 11 points off an automatic spot. They have pretty good front three in Benrahma, Mbeumo & Watkins who have 45 goals between them (we have scored 46 as a team). They don't have any star players as such but do have a good scouting network which always seems to find hidden gems. Thomas Frank is there manager who has done a good job since taking over.
