Not a criticism of the performance in any way, but Sawyers reaction might have undone 75 minutes of control that he'd been part of. Whatever was said and we don't know that it was, he then gave the ref and lino a reason to show the red card and gets banned for the next 3 games, so I will criticise him for that.
I'm not hanging him out to dry, merely saying that a lot of footballers brains are in their boots and Sawyers proved that today

MIGHT but it didn’t Why hang a man when he’s down a harsh sending off in my opinion. If the players and management stick by him so should the fans, some posters have been waiting for this as there have been quite a bit of social media criticism of him of late . We’re top of the league 9points clear of 3rd place but still some want to criticise.

I think it has to be Harper. It's a better choice than Barry or Brunt.
If it was Wigan at home then I'd be saying bring Phillips in, move Pereira central with Krovinovic and have Livermore as the deepest midfield player (4123 sort of shape) but Preston at home needs more caution.

After Donervon Daniels did the honours a few weeks ago, it was nice to see another old boy, Ashley Williams, giving us a helping hand to get over the line today. Hope we've got a few more secret agents in place around the league, the plan's working nicely

11 Away wins (already). Is that our best ever, Ska'd?

With questions about Barry and Brunts fitness levels, I'm assuming Harper gets the shout in the next game?. With our GD now looking very healthy this in reality gives us an extra point over Fulham. Bilic and his team can take a bow, in you we trust.

We managed 12 under Megson in 2001-02, so that's our best of the modern era. I'd need time to dig back further and see what our all-time best is.

What is the greatest amount of draws in a season? Had we had less this one, say half, we would be out of sight by now.

Further to the above, I haven't exhaustively checked every season (and nor am I going to), but I've just had a quick look at all the obvious candidates in terms of successful years in Albion history, and nothing surpasses those 12 away wins under SGM. If that really is our all-time record then we've got five more chances to try and get the two wins to break it: Swansea, Brentford, Wednesday, Blackburn and Huddersfield.

I honestly couldn't say without going through 140 seasons of history, and that's a task for another day/month/year/lifetime [delete as applicable].

Would like to see Harper come in and stake his claim for the midfield role. He has been patient, now's his chance.
