31 Aug, 2021 Transfer Window: Championship Rebuild
You know what this pisses me off not on whether he deserves a ban or not but the fact this year I have seen this on TV during championship games this year yet a bit like Gayle last year they seem to take joy in banning WBA players, what about other diving and elbows seen every week FFS Angry

Any retrospective action against Clucas for the knee high lunge on Periera, No didnt think so........

Time for the other players to step up me thinks. Hopefully we get the Croation Winger in on time. Kronovic... time to set up young man & show us what you can REALLY do.

As i understand it, Birmingham City could be/are in financial difficulties. How about a cheeky bid for 2 of their players : Juckwicz (the centre forward) & Bela ( tricky winger). Both did well against us recently.

With Diangana and Pereira now missing for our forthcoming matches, I think it is now time for Edwards and Krovinovic to show what they’re made of. They won’t have a better chance than this.

Sawyers - Livermore
Phillips - Krovinovic - Edwards

Tulloch and/or Willock could also get on the bench on Saturday.

To be honest when I saw the video I suspected this course of action, so no big surprise, even if Allen did drop, after a couple of mili-seconds thinking about it. It would be nice though if retrospective action was applied equally, sadly like everything in football these days it is not. I dare say we will say that "we accept the punishment, but referees need to more to protect our flare players and if they do not they must expect the players to get frustrated and react like this". That said what actually constitutes the referee 'taking action?' I would argue that the referee actually saw the incident, as he spoke to both players and awarded a free kick. How does that constitute the referee not taking action? Allen himself said " he caught me with an elbow, apologised saying it was not deliberate and I accept that".

This 3 match ban is no surprise, a lot of us saw this coming as soon as it happened.
I know I go off on a tangent at time, but I have an amber light flashing with Pereira now.
When he came to us, it was general gossip that he was a hot head and got frustrated very easily.
He has a handbags a dawn moment with Hegazi on the training pitch (he couldn't have picked a bigger player)
Now this silly elbow in a tussle with Allen and a 3 match ban, now when he is back everyone will be kicking at his heals, pushing, tugging his shirt.
He may not realise it but he has now become a marked man. He has already been consistantly fouled and ref's have done nothing to protect him.
Time will tell how this pans out.

Our chances of signing a couple of quality players to freshen us up and get our promotion challenge back on track is fading.
If we dont at least spend the millions we made on our summer transfer dealings IMO we can forget promotion.
Bilic can stay - BUT Dowling his 17 man recruitment team and Jenkins can just JOG ON and play somewhere else.

Dowling & his mates will unfortunately Jog on... they are on a cushy number. Why not play Willock on Saturday in the Cup to see he is good enough?. I would...nothing to lose.
I don't fancy a Cup run... rather concentrate on winning Promotion. Mind you i quite like the Championship Smile

Most fans are not being honest with themselves, we only enjoy the championship because we are winning and competing with the top sides.
Would it be fun if we were struggling to just prevent relegation?
When the parachute payments dry up and we fall down the league and we will. We cannot sustain WBA with championship money. Realistically we need
40 million extra money then the revenue we earn currently to run the club. The average championhip club needs 25 million ownership investment or have to sell that amount of players to balance the books.
I'm not looking forward to promotion to the PL at all - just the security of it's money, even if we come back down.
I believe the owners are taking millions out of the club and if we don't go up, we will go down the pan completely.
If Lai is not putting money in, why did he buy the club ? - he has no interest in the actual football, so he has to be taking money out.
Nobody, nobody spends 200 million for the fun of it.
