I was thinking last summer when I went to the unveiling of the Three Degrees statue that it was such a shame he never got to see the finished article. Society has a nasty habit of not properly honouring great people until it's too late.
I've posted it plenty of times before, but will give it another airing in honour of Cyrille. Big Cyrille was something else, as a player AND a man.... .... and Laurie - unbelievable poise, elegance, speed and trickery. Makes you wonder just how good he would be with the lighter ball and manicured grounds of today's game

Brings a tear to the eye every time. Seems so long ago, but what a time to be an Albion fan. Changed football in the UK, shame we still can’t totally escape from those shackles of hatred based on the colour of someone’s skin.
