Charlton vs WBA - Double Match Thread

Very happy with this result. SD played a number of young players, it sounds like we were pretty comfortable apart from a few isolated flourishes from Charlton and we avoided an unwanted replay.

We actually played well, and if there is such a thing as battering the opposition 1-0 then that was it.
Quite a few stepped up to show Slav what they can do.

Didn't see any of the game apart from the goal, which I must say I thought Z put away very well.
Were the 2 handball decisions against us - I mean should WE have had the penalties?

Both decisions went against us, both penalties. Second one in particular was a bit of howler from the ref and linesman.

Johnstone
Furlong - Ajayi - Bartley - Townsend
Sawyers - Livermore
Phillips - Pereira - HRK
Zohore

Bond, Hegazi, Brunt, Krovinovic, Edwards, Diangana, Austin
Could be 442 with Pereira as a winger.

I like that team...
... a good move to start Zohore again after his goal last week. Hopefully boost his confidence somewhat

Zohore robbed a defender on the left, got inside the area. Bit greedy with first shot but stuck rebound away well.
Poor defending for equaliser. Ajayi beaten in air & Bartley lost goal scorer.

Lot of needle for some reason. Ajayi, HRK & Sawyers booked. Darren Pratley charging about winding everyone up. If this ends 11v11 I’ll be surprised.
