Hurrah - I am already getting disappointed with the lack of news on this. If I had been JP I would have stood up and would have caught his and draw my finger across my throat - either that or sit there and give a romanesque thumbs down!

You have to feel for Jeremy, somewhat. After last seasons farce you would have thought it couldn't get any worse yet somehow, it has.

....sorry but this is all down to JP (who I normally support 100% by the way) getting it totally wrong by not retaining Mel and THEN saying he's learned by his mistakes and the next HC would be a 'safe bet' with plenty of PL experience (or words to that effect). Doh

Disappointed is an understatement Sick

I'm not at all hostile to AI - I'm sure he did his very best for us; but with the above sentiments from JP you just HAVE to question why he was bloody appointed in the first place Dodgy

Yep. I do agree that JP needs to take a share of the blame. Mainly, he needs to accept that the 'head coach' experiment is over (or should be). There are, clearly, not enough suitable candidates for it to work for us.

What we need is a head coach........ AND a STRONG manager. DD Angel Angel

On Twitter: A senior WBA source say Irvine will be allowed to carry on and will be in charge at the West Ham game!

3pts for West Ham then!!!

It is only a Twitter comment and they can not be trusted. Neither can The sacked on Monday suggestions. But surely this is so bad, people with influence at the club must see that we need urgent action?

Did someone say Pulis was at the match? Why would he be (perhaps unless he still lives in the Potteries)?
Apart from the 'longball' he had Stoke playing a few years ago, he seems a perfect fit if he's happy to work under Jeremy's set-up.
Let's put it like this: there's nobody else around (who speaks good English) except for Martin Jol - Father Jack for Father Ted.

I've a feeling that if AI was getting the boot then the world would have been told this morning. It's quite possible that Saido will go to Liverpool and Alan will be given funds in Jan.

Lots of assumptions and twittering but, crucially, no word.

Saft, Pulis lives in the Sandbanks area (Bournemouth) close to 'Arry so doubt if he made the journey north. I went to the game as a guest and sat next to the Directors box from which an obviously furious JP left after Sjoke's second goal and there was no sign of Pulis.

I would be very surprised if JP went after Pulis as with them both having mega-ego's and an arrogant controlling personality there would be huge clashes. I personally would like to see a hungry young English HC in the mould of Eddie Howe or Steve Cotterill who is doing a fantastic job at Bristol City and has Premiership experience.

Steve Cotterill! Now THERE'S an interesting one.
Followed Cheltenham home & away through the Conference and then for the first few years in the FL. SC is a winner; only slight experience in the PL but this came too soon for him, also under/ alongside Wilkinson which would've been 'difficult', I'd imagine.
He's a real man manager who won't accept anything other than 100%; however his teams play a real committed game WITH flair if the players are available.
Interesting......

Winter is here and our native birds are finding food scarce.
Please go to the pet shop and buy a mesh and a bag of nuts for our feathered friends.

There is nothing better on a winter's morning than a pair of tits around your nutbag!

Just remember, however, it's a bit too late in the year to expect a swallow. DD Whistle Whistle
