The only person to blame for our current predicament is Alan Irvine and to some extent the man who gave him the Job........yes some of you are right, you can't account for Individual mistakes but read it and weep (Cos I am):

Played 18.........points 17.

He has to go as soon as possible because make no mistake WE WILL BE RELEGATED

He can spend 24 hours a day, 7 days a week coaching and motivating the players but if the players make basic mistakes that 10 year olds don't make on Saturday mornings, then it isn't fault, it is the fault of the players making the mistakes.
  • Lescott being unable to play a simple 10 yard pass to Morrison is Lescott's fault.

  • Berahino being unable to score 2 great chances is Berahino's fault.

  • Varela missing a golden chance to score is Varela's fault.

  • Morrison bear hugging one of QPR's players last week is Morrison's fault.

  • Foster being unable to catch the ball is Foster's fault. If you want to blame someone other than Foster for his mistake then blame Kiely for it because he is the guy that coaches the goalkeepers.
As for Irvine's post match interview, we did start well. We were moving the ball about nicely before Foster made his mistake which knocked us out of our stride. We also made some great chances which Berahino and Varela wasted.

I couldn’t agree with you more, Josh.  Unfortunately you’re wasting your breath mate because too many people don’t want to admit it might be anybody’s fault other than Irvine’s.  We’re not getting results so the easiest person to point the finger at is Irvine.
Irvine, like all of us has faults and has made mistakes- no-one is denying that, but he cannot be accountable for how a player plays on the day or how a ref decides to call the shots.  I’m sick to death of hearing about Irvine’s failing and can’t wait to see what his mystical replacement’s going to bring to the table.  The Premier League is a tough place to be in.  In the past you could predict fairly easily who would beat who, or who would probably be relegated but that isn’t the case today.  So, just for the record – I like Irvine’s total commitment to his role as our Coach and truly hope he can help the players turn things around.

Does anyone on here REALLY think any Albion fans wanted AI to do a bad job because that's ludicrous Doh

Yes a lot of us didn't want him and yes at the moment we are being proved right BUT when Albion lose, my world is a dark place and I would love him to do well BUT time is running out and we are only just above the relegation zone because others are as rubbish. Our wins have been lucky apart from Burnley who had both main strikers out at the time.

We also battled and played well when we were relegated the last few times BUT we need to win, its that simple, there is no miracle BUT maybe just maybe someone else will make a better fist of it.

IF AI STAYS WE WILL DEFINATELY BE RELEGATED......FACT, give someone else a chance and we MAY just survive.

He's a nice guy but his past record and our current position and points total is there for all to see, so sadly he has to go. Obviously this is just my humble opinion, for what its worth Huh

I would also like to know for those of you who thinks he should stay, can you please answer this question:

How long would you like to give him?

I'd agree that Irvine can't be to blame for the players individual mistakes, but what he can be blamed for is his incompetent selections throughout the season.

Why is Yacob never used? He's the only midfielder at the club who has any defensive discipline.

Fair enough, against Palace and Villa at home, he might not be needed. But against Man City, who have only attacking midfielders (and no strikers fit), you need someone to get close to Silva.

We got caught on the break badly because our defensive midfielders Mozza and Mulumbu are both box to box players. Mozza is at his best going forward, why is he sitting in front of the back 4?

Why are Dorrans and Gardner nailed on starters ever week when you could count the number of good games they have had between them on one hand? Dorrans is long gone as a Premiership footballer. Gardner has never been anymore than a squad player for dross, relegation threatened teams.

We passed the ball better yesterday without Dorrans. No doubt he would've played but for injury.

Why do we need Baird on a bench which already contains Dawson, Gamboa, Yacob and Brunt? In which possible permutation would Baird be required? No sign of Samaras or Blanco though, so little to change if we're chasing the game.

Surely Samaras would be ideal for a counter attacking away day. Anyone who has watched him for Celtic in the Champions League will know that he's a great out ball and threat on the counter with his pace, power and physique. Never been given a fair chance.

The guy has admitted that he picks the team based on training. Surely what you do on the pitch is what should count.

Too many mistakes. Too many bulls*it interviews. Too many bulls*it excuses.

Yesterday 'we were doing okay but made mistake on their first attack'. Well actually, they had already missed a sitter from 2 yards that Foster had saved with his legs before the goal. Because we had no defensive midfielders to sit and deal with Man City's counter.

Against Chelsea 'we were doing okay before the goal which was offside'. No, we were being massacred. Chelsea missed a sitter inside a minute and the goal was onside anyway.

Complete incompetent embarrassment.

His CV wasn't worth of an interview in the first place. I have no idea how he got the job and no idea how he's still here.

First off Worldclassalbion, I want to say that your statement "IF IRVINE STAYS WE WILL DEFINATELY BE RELEGATED...... FACT" is not a fact. It is an opinion and a hypothesis based off our current points vs matches played situation. A fact is something that can be proven as being 100% true so unless you have a time machine or the ability to see into the future, your statement is not a fact.

Secondly, I don't think we should set an exact time frame for Irvine to stay. It should be taken match by match, week by week which I bet is what the club is doing.

If this was Irvines first job i'd be more than willing to give him a lot more time but he's already had two jobs at lower league sides and didn't fare very well so all this rubbish about lets give him more time baffles me  Doh truth is he should never of been given the job in the first place and he is taking us backwards, people also say whoever comes in will have the same problems....Possibly! but i'd rather try than watch this absolute garbage week in week out
