Might as well moan in comfort, Zinman! Have a nice time. Meanwhile, I'll be in London 2-4 Jan and I had made up my mind to come to the Albion-Gateshead FA Cup game, but the utterly depressing manner of defeat at QPR has put me right off making the journey up.

Actually, the Albion v Gateshead game could be one if the few chances to be at a game where we win this season. I might make the trip to that a priority!

Team today actually looks quite a lot nearer to our best side IMO.
Saido back, Mulumbu back in place of Dorrans.
Disappointed with no Samaras or Blanco on the bench when Baird is taking up a spot. Also thought Gamboa was due a start as Wisdom's form seems to have dropped off - but a lot closer.
Just unfortunate that it's taken Irvine so long to wake up and smell the coffee and has decided to do so for one of our toughest games. Still, City don't have a striker, so maybe they are there for the taking.

Foster
Wisdom-McAuley-Lescott-Pocognoli
Mulumbu-Morrison-Gardner
Sessegnon-Berahino-Varela
Myhill
Dawson
Gamboa
Baird
Yacob
Brunt
Ideye
Bench is average again with little attacking options and plenty of defensive options on it but the starting 11 is pretty much spot on in my opinion minus Yacob in the holding role.

Amazed Morrison & Wisdom still always make the starting 11,
Make no mistake Dorrans was injured or he would have probably played.
Wheres Blanco ?
Gamboa must wonder what he has to do to play.
Fingers crossed its not a drubbing, but just realised they are without all their best Strikers.
Lets hope YaYa has a off day and we may get something
Mistake after mistake,
Just what you want Ben throwing the ball into your own net (almost) and giving a small club like Man City the lead
Why try to catch a wet ball like that, tip it over or punch it FFS !!!!!!

Great goalkeeping and decision making by Foster (!)
That has ruined what has been a confident start to the match.
Feck sake Lescott. Penalty and it's now 2-0.
Individual player mistakes costing us yet again.

OMG things just get better and better
Now a mistake from Lescott,..... Pen 0-2 could be embarrassing
Whats happend to out defending ?
Noe Lescott and GMac jump into each other going for the same ball
What with this and the 3 set piece goals V QPR i'm bemused

Were we not better with the Lescott/Dawson combination?
