Tough start.....after Derby it's two relegated teams and QPR. Here's hoping for a good start.
Derby won't be the team they were last year...a lot of their on loan players went back. And Lampard could be at Chelsea before then. Interesting times.
This league is going to be so much more interesting than the Premier League.

Like us, the Sheep will still bring plenty of loanees in again SHEP, but many won't be available until the Prima Donna League sides have sorted out their first 25 plus whoever else among the top 6 plus Wolves want for Europe. That might or might not all shake down before this game as the Prima Donna League and Chumpionship both shut their window down on the 8th.

Signs are they'll be looking for yet another Head Coach/Manager and Steve Gerrard has already turned them down according to at least one press rumour monger. Doesn't see them as a big enough step up as the chap across the city that moved to Leicester, obviously. Tongue Whoever comes in will have to sort out tactics (or tictacs Big Grin ) all over again and the longer Chelski procrastinate over Lampard the longer Derby will be in limbo.

Derby apparently reaping as they have sown for the last gawdnose how long. Doh Laugh

Turmoil all around really for the first month in The Chumpionship. Lots of disappointed clubs playing each other early doors. Tbh I'd rather be playing Cardiff and Fulham as we've a good idea what to expect from them than clubs still on the crest of a promotion campaign. We know how that works.

Luton at the end of August, 6 games in, Barnsalee at the end of October and Chorlton on a wet Tuesday night in December (why Tuesday ffs? I like my Saturday trips to the Smoke, though Brentfud is a pain in the arris to get to) will have had the shine taken off their new balls by then. Luton maybe less so than the other two but they've got Boro, Cardiff, Baggies, Wendies and Barnsalee to play before us. Think I prefer our start to theirs to be honest.

Derby have given Chelsea permission to talk to Lampard. Let's hope it takes a while to sort out and he leaves them in turmoil just before they play us. Whistle

Why can't we have some away games on telly for a change?

In the first two months of the season, we have two Saturday 3 o'clock kick offs at home.
24th Aug and 28th Sep. That's pisch!

We were short changed by the tellybox boys in the Prima Donna League, especially last season, and the away side gets next to no brass off them in the Chumpionship. That said I wish they'd cover our midweek home games instead and leave Saturday's alone or if they must just move them to Sunday.
