10 Favourite Albion Players
#1
Who are your 10 all-time favourites?
Not necessarily the best - you might like them for their commitment, character, etc.
Give some comments as well to make it interesting.
(Obviously, like me, you change your mind every couple of weeks, like your underwear Laugh ). But just give your Top 10 in your mind today.
Should be interesting.
Oh, it can include Management, as well (such as Pulis, Pardew, Lai, Jenkins, etc)

1. Laurie cunningham (quite simply the best player i've ever seen).
2. Willie johnston (pure entertainment).
3. Cyril regis (just loved everything about him, legend)
4. Bomber (Mr. Baggie, they dont make them like this any more).
5. Kevin phillips (only with us a relatively short time, should have been offered a new contract).
6. Lee hughes (cant condone his life choices, but as a footballer great for us)
7. Bryan robson (what a player)
8. John wile (the greatest leader on the pitch, ever.)
9. Derek statham (how he wasnt an england regular is beyond me)
10. Last choice, and so many more i could choose, but i'm going for Big Ron Atkinson!!!

GOOD BUT SLIGHTLY AGED BIASED I'M AFRAID
1. Laurie Cunningham (Simply a wizard)
2. Cyril Regis (If anyone wanted a role model on how to win)
3. Willie Johnston (Loved him sitting on the advertising boards and having a drink of beer).
4. Bryan Robson (Pity Man Utd had his best years)
5. Tony Bomber (No one will beat his goals record in my lifetime).
5. The King (He just knew where the goal was)
6. John Osbourne (close decision between him and Foster)
7. Derek Statham (Made the game look easy)
8. John Wile (Have to agree brilliant leader.)
9. Lee Hughes (Great in his early days - can still play a bit)
10. Zolten Gera (Almost 100 caps and I just liked his get it forward attitude)

My old man who is no longer with us said Ray Barlow and Ronnie Allen were our best players?
2020 the year the bubble burst  Doh

2. Big Cyrille - charisma, power, etc

5. Bryan Robson - a 1man team. Colossus!
6.Zoltan - wonderful player and just connected with everyone!
7. Dougie Frazer - just liked his style!
8. The King - should probably be higher!

Great post...
1 Laurie Cunningham. 30 years ahead of his time
2 Cyrille Regis. If he played for someone else, would still be in top 10
3 Derek Statham, better left back than Sansom
4  Bomber. Scored for fun
5 Bryan Robson. Could do it all.
6 Kevin Phillips, should have gave him one more year.
7 Remi Moses, injury prone could have been as good as Robbo.
8 Zoltan Gera, loved the baggies.
9 Ben Foster, best English goalie in his era
10 Astle. Legend.
Many more could have made the list, on another note
look at the top 4 and count how few international caps
they got between them. Criminal.

My list has disappeared, took ages to type, struggled to cut the list to ten.

Only Zolly and SuperKev from THIS Millennium so far.

John Wile's a great choice, and I'd also include Ali Robertson (his CH partner) who was just as good and just as committed, although his ball control was pretty average. Going back even further, I loved Ronnie Allen (everyone's favourite of the 50s), and Bobby Hope (who laid on most of The King's goals).

Agree with most on top 10 but I think Foster best keeper I have ever seen at WBA and Mareska wonderful feet have to be in there somewhere . Also for 2 years Jason Koumas was sublime.
Used to love Hughsie but after the accident incident I cannot forgive what he did, but these boards are all about opinions.
