Just wondering if anything has been pre-agreed between ourselves and the Toon regarding the Rondon and Gayle situation when the loan moves expire at the end of the season.
From what I've read Rondon is well thought of up there and Gayle has scored some important goals for us and seems better suited to the Championship.
Do we automatically swap players back during the close season or are there option to buy clauses in place?
Some days I'm top dog, most days I'm just the lamp post.

I was thinking the exactly the. same Silver. Rondon does seem to have done well there and the Toons probably want to keep him and he probably wants to stay. As for Gayle, he looks happy here and might agree a swop although given his goal scoring record with us, I expect several Premiership Clubs are interested in him along with JRod.
All depends whether we go up or stay a in the Championship.

Rondon won't come back, he won't accept a £35k a week drop in salary. Even if Newcastle come up with £16.5 million transfer fee. As for Gayle us the fans would love to keep him. If we gain promotion it's a strong possibility. If we don't go up, can't see us paying £12-15 million or paying his salary requirements? A few other clubs certainly would, it's already been reported Fulham have asked about his availability. Just gossip though. IMHO we won't see him or Rondon playing for us again unless we are in the PL.

Sadly Phil, I agree. Now is Lee Hughes still available?
