Who would've guessed that Paul H would attain an unbeaten league record, from the start of his appointment as Hibs manager, that would merit comparison with that great, legendary Hibs manager, Hugh Shaw, such is the significance of his tenure during the past few months. However, there is still a long way to go to ever emulate the great man's achievements and particularly with the "Famous Five" attached to Shaw's CV. The signs are good all the same!! This man knows what he's doing - how to organise players and tactically astute.

0762,
At this moment I`m sitting with a huge plate of humble pie because I didn`t think Heckingbottom was good enough to be our manager but he has instilled a new work ethic in the team and that has resulted in a much higher level of performance in the players.Time will tell if Paul gets close to Hugh Shaw`s legendary status within the club but he has made a really good start to his managerial career at Easter Road.

I'll join you at the dinner table Wattie! I wasn't greatly enamoured with his appointment either but willing to "give him a chance" and, by gum, what a welcome surprise!

I said at the time he was being hired that he had a good reputation after his time at Barnsley as a good young manager. His record I think was very much clouded by his short time at L**ds, where he wasn’t unsuccessful as such but their new owners had plans for a bigger name. I hope he can build his reputation further with you guys!!
