Hibs play the other half of the "ugly sisters" and I'm intrigued to see how the manager will tackle Rangers at ER compared with Lenny. This fixture will be my "benchmark" in assessing how tactically aware he is re playing Rangers, Celtic and the Dons. I must say I won't be "holding my breath" in anticipation but there is a "Lennon team" that can be chosen from this current Hibs squad. I hope he chooses wisely and surprises me with a tactical piece of genius or use of a player/players in some tactical ploy to win this game.

A win please - 1) It will finish the sevconians league "challenge" and send them into meltdown and 2) It will take us above the jambos in the league.
Hertz are at dens park next, not a place that has happy memories for them. Apart from levein's intimate knowledge of the toilets there.

FT 1-1 and this was the equivalent of a win on a rainy Fri night at ER with Hibs lucky to only be a goal down at HT and PH's set up all wrong in a 1st half in which we were overrun in the midfield area and Paul Hanlon had an absolute nightmare!! And just before HT a numpty invades the pitch from the East Stand and confronts Tavernier. Thank god it was a "shouting match" and this guy didn't throw punches!!! Nonetheless, the stewards and Police still had to cope with Huns trying to invade the pitch and consequently throwing vandalised seats all over the place!!! Of course, the unsavoury scenes and violence, post match, in London Road and Leith Walk were inevitable esp on a Fri night! I'm sure Leeann would've been livid re that pitch invasion esp after asking Hibs fans to be on their best behaviour.
Onward to the 2nd half and it was intriguing to see the manager change it to three at the back and eventually "getting a break" re an onside position and Kamberi slotting home in a sweeping Hibs attack and we might have "sneaked" an undeserved win at the tail end of this game. My MOTM has to be Rocky who pulled off some great saves in the 1st half and then hardly had a save to make after HT as protected by some stout defending by various Hibs defenders! Never a dull moment in this match but disappointing to see that "fan incident" on Tavernier!

Another cretin and another unsavoury incident at Easter Road. This highlights exactly why strict liability will never be adopted voluntarily by clubs. Hibs could have been docked 6 points in the last week through no fault of their own.
Having said that, a hard-fought point won and a brake on Rangers' title ambitions.

We have seen clubs being fined for the actions of idiots but the action should be against the individual. They go to court are fined and barred from games while the club usually gets a fine of several thousand pounds by the SPFL/SFA.
This course of action will never solve the problem but a jail sentence might if it were long enough. It is our government policy that sentences of less than 12 months be scrapped with the emphases going on community pay back orders which does not work either.A jail sentence of 2 years would see these fools inside for a full season and might allow the rest of us peace to enjoy the games.

Well said, Wattie. I've long argued for long jail sentences for violent criminals and I always get the stock response of "there's too many people in jail already". Well, build more jails! It's not difficult to come up with the answer, but it's well-nigh impossible to get this Tory Government to spend sufficient money on the basics.

First of all, remove the teams and officials from the pitch and allow the stewards/Police to escort the offending party/numpty to the centre spot and let the crowd/fans "vent their spleen" on this guy for a period of 5 mins for spoiling their outing to watch and enjoy a footie match. Remove this guy from his abject humiliation and get on with the match again.
