Brave n bold decisions by Michael from Wakefield and those on the pitch with the starting shirts rewarded him and the fans, who amazingly didnt drift at 80 mins tonight and Mounie, on his knees, had the energy to get up and poke one home to send the place crazy. Perhaps the last 15 mins of ground swell support really did get us over the line in a postive way?

Thankfully the lower tier moaning section didnt stick around for any of that wiggley finger bit, but we could hear on exit the occasional singing block demanded it, despite being quiet for a good deal of the 2nd half.

Excellent performances by Stinkovich, Grant great energy, Terry K and Schindy, the new guy at right back solid debut and full credit to Bacuna filling in 2nd at RB, he thwarted many an attack. Mooys late entry gave us that bit of composure, Billing & Hoggy with their usual yellows had to battle spoil and work hard in the middle bit.

Always nice to get one over the boisterous away following and become a right bogey team for WW, they can have no complaints we edged the game I thought. Lets see if we can follow this up at Brighton by the Sea Saturday.

Great win!! While I don’t think it will be enough to save you, it must be a relief to get over the 11 point mark set by Derby a few years back!!

Well wasn't that bloody brilliant.
A massive turnaround from Newcastle.
Fully deserved....Wolves never really threatened.
Stankovic was excellent. Grant equally so...that boy knows how to hold on to a ball....rarely lost possession last night.
Thought new lad Dehuaney was ok...got left behind a couple of times by their winger...but otherwise ok.

I said to no one in particular that at 80 mins bring on Mooy and he might make the difference. He bloody well did!!! Excellent cross for our goal.
Only issue I had was that Stankovic was playing holding midfielder and Hogg was further up the park. Hogg is never an attacking midfielder in a million years. Replace him with Mooy and you have the perfect balance.

That were cracking that. Play like that rest of season and i'll fancy our chances next year in the Championship if we keep most of our players.

Well what a difference a goal in the right end makes.
We played Everton recently and lost to an early goal. Despite that goal, the team did all they could to get back in it and but for an outstanding performance from England's number one, would've won the game deservedly.
Conclusion to that game; we're shit. Very, very negative reactions in the stands and on social media.

Fast forward to last night. A very similar performance to that night. Except this time the opponents didn't get an early goal. The crowd stayed and helped the lads on instead of being moaning twats. And finally we get the goal in injury time.
Conclusion; we're brilliant again. Praise all round for a great performance.

Imagine now if Wolves had scored in injury time instead of us.
No don't. Just focus on the fact that even when things aren't going well, the team need our backing. The vocal support in the last ten minutes last night was amazing, similar to when Tom Ince got the winner against Watford last season.

Most importantly of course, last night's goal makes Steve Mounie the top Premier League goals scorer at the John Smith's Stadium, knocking Harry Kane down into 2nd. Rolleyes Whistle Doh Wink
