WBA vs Stoke & Nottm Forest

Another very poor performance. To be honest, I was chuffed with the draw at the end, which we didn't deserve.

I'm just not really sure what's going on, no pattern of play, no shape, the insistence on tip tapping around at the back playing us into trouble every week.

In how many games do we need to give goals away before we stop with this playing out of trouble tripe? Derby, Boro, tonight....

2nd half we went long from the back and that actually resulted in us having a good spell. Although, we knew we were going to concede again because we just can't defend can we. Not ideal when you also keep giving teams goals as well as not being able to defend.

Going forward, there's no clear identity. Always one of the forwards plonked out of position on the wing. For the sake of fitting Murphy in, who was poor, it really doesn't seem worthwhile. The only time Murphy did look dangerous was when he picked the ball up at feet and drove at players, so he might as well play in a deeper position and leave the 2 up top centrally.

Not looking forward to the next few games on that showing, just hope the teams we play are just as poor as us.

My God how we miss this guy suppose it was a good job we had 1st half of the season or we would be the wrong end of the table.

I can't believe the defending the 2nd goal was awful

Interesting as we are in danger of dropping out the playoffs places. Imagine where we would be without those mistakes ?

I can see us being the team to slowly slip out of the play offs ..... Don't won't big Dave to fail but don't think he is quite ready to cut the mustard at this level ..... so many chances to benefit from other teams slips only to screw them up with poor defending, poor shooting, poor all round general play .... poor game management .......

Since Harvey Barnes left we haven't been that good but some of our games at home earlier in the season were awesome, concentrate on your own team if all your going to do is spout crap like that FFS Doh

Anyway that was awful, especially considering that was an important game where we needed a win.

First half was the worst I can remember us playing this season, since several of them decided not to pass to teammates anymore, definite improvement in the 2nd half but we struggled to create clear cut chances. Just kept putting in the box without looking like scoring. First goal they practically gifted to us and the 2nd was a very clear dive. Normally I'm positive after a late equaliser but that was such a poor performance, defence looked all over the place too, Forest should have had a penalty in stoppage time too.

Phillips can't come back soon enough, we lose so much going forward without him.

You can't not use the subs and then publicly say your players are jaded? well you can how stupid of me. Also history shows us when Philips comes back from an injury lay off it takes him weeks to get back on form.

You're right it does take him awhile and by the time he's in for again, we'll have no chance of automatics. Realistically I can't see us going up through the play offs either, our defence is still shit and we're finding it much harder to create chances.

Think we need to use the fact that we'll be here for at least 2 seasons as an opportunity to sort out the squad. We need to get the average age of the squad down a fair bit more (how many midfielders over 30 do we need? Certainly not 5), and make some decent permanent signings. If we can rebuild the squad properly now, we won't be forced to do it every summer for the foreseeable future. I'm personally happy for us to be in the championship for another season cos it makes a nice change to see us scoring goals and winning matches but I don't know how it will affect us financially, which is probably the biggest factor in how the club will develop.
