My guess is a medal from the 54 Final. Maybe Kennedy or Barlow?

I was born in Sutton Coldfield (Kingstanding side), my dad and mom were both born within a few hundred yards of the Villa ground but fortunately weren't into football. Our next door neighbours in Sutton however were and their youngest son got me into the Baggies. When I first got married I lived in Handsworth Wood and could walk to the ground, but gradually I've moved North, first to Lichfield and now just outside Derby. 4 out of my 5 kids are Albion thru and thru even though they're surrounded by Rams and Florest fans. If you're wondering about the 5th child, she would only be interested in football if it was played on horses, or by dogs.

If it WAS Ray Barlow, Baggieone, he is well known to be one of Albion's greatest ever players. I only ever saw him 3-4 times when I was 8 so I couldn't appreciate his ability, but an old lad I know (who's about 90) rates him as his favourite player of all time.

Just in case here's a list of the players who played in the 1954 final:-
Jim Sanders, Joe Kennedy, Len Millard, Jimmy Dudley, Jimmy Dugdale, Ray Barlow, Frank Griffin,
Reg.(Paddy)Ryan, Johnny Nicholls & George Lee.
What a thing to sell tho'
How much did she get for it?
Bet you crossed her off your Xmas list

Born in Kenya, moved to Handsworth in 1968 ( Sorry UKIP Nigel-- I sneaked in before you had a Chance to stop me-Haha!!). First game at the Shrine was against Man United. Hooked on the Baggies ever since. Moved to Stoke for 3 years to study but still supported the Baggies. Moved to Manchester(more Studying) in 1981 very near the Old Man City Ground. Went to see City & Utd a few times BUT NOTHING Could match the Site or Wille, Asa, Laurie ( RIP), Bomber, Big Cyrille et al playing. Oh how I miss those days!!. Moved to North Wales in 1984 ( work) but try and get to The Shrine when visiting the Handsworth Hood to see Parents & friends--- last visit 22/10/2014 against UTD. Sat next to a lovely Chap who was trying to convert his young Lad from The Dingles-- easy job, no contest.

she died in the late 1980's.......... before it meant anything to me.
It was only recently that my mom remembered her selling a West Brom winners medal from a relative in her side. It wasn't for much though......

I remember my nan saying she was either a friend of a relative or was distantly related to Jimmy Dudley from that 1954 side (will have to ask her), she is also related to Jimmy Edwards who played in the 1931 FA Cup winning side.

Coming from Bath, I was on holiday in Brixham when I was about 15 and met a girl from Dudley. In the half term I went and visited and she took me to the Hawthorns. Been a baggie ever since (over 40 years). The holiday romance didn't last long, not like the love for the Albion !!!

Autumn 1966, 12 years old, England were world champions, and a mate of mine at WBGS said his dad had a spare complimentary ticket for a home game, did I want to go. Ok I said, and we were in the old Halfords Lane. I can't remember what the weather was like, but it was against Stoke City so it was probably miserable, and of course we lost 1-0 through a John Ritchie goal. I went to tons of games the next few seasons, home games with my school mates, away games on my own on organised coach trips. It opened up a new world for me, and I couldn't imagine supporting anyone else.
