So was it the magic of the FA Cup or was it the shite predictions from us??? Either way as a group the predictors in the PL managed a combined total of 14 points!!!!!!! That I think is a record low this season!!
Worldclass leads the way this week, huge credit to him in amongst all the dross as he managed to get himself into double figures and finish on 10 points! He was the only one who picked up anything on his BB and one of only two who got a CR on the Gamball!! In 2nd place was Derby on 7 points, picking up a CR on the Gamball but not much else!
3rd to 5th places were the only other players with positive scores - Zinman on 4 points, Beefy on 3 and Snooty on 1. Zinman and Beefy bottled the Gamball, a tactic that worked for Zinman as he got the prediction wrong but completely backfired on Beefy as he would have picked up extra points had he played it!! Zinman also can take some pleasure in being the only player to get a CS this week. Snooty did ok this week with 3 correct results, same as the top 2 but because they got their CRs on their ball games and Snooty got both of these wrong he ends up with just the one point!!
SCO is astonishingly in mid-table on zero points for the week!!!
And then we reach the negatives this week!! Sanjay did at least manage to get one CR and a point on his score ball, Amelia ended on -4, got every prediction incorrect but was one point off the lowest score you can get courtesy of a point from the SB!! And then there is our league leader BBB who got absolutely everything incorrect and as a consequence ended up with the minimum score of -5!!! Matt unfortunately didn’t predict again this week and so under the rules scores one less than the bottom placed player. Changes near the top of the league??

This was the week that saw no less than 8 players throw their hat into the ring and give themselves a shot at the title. BBB helped a few out drawing a complete blank and giving all of those below him the opportunity to close the gap, that now stands at just 5 points from Zinman who climbs a place into 2nd, who I inadvertently forgot to mention passed the 200 point mark for the season last week.
I also missed out a mention to St Charles who passed the same landmark last week, though he failed to trouble the scorer this week and dropped a spot to 3rd as a result, just a further point back, while Worldclass was the main benefactor in what was a poor week as he also passed the 200 mark to climb 2 places to 4th.
Beefy is well in touch just a further 7 points back and another climb this week sees him up into 5th only 15 points off the top, overtaking Sanjay this week who although losing a little ground is still in with a shout at both the title but also the relegation play-offs such is the tightness of the league.
Much the same story for Derby and Matt who are tied for 7th just a solitary point away, though the latter missed his second week on the trot to plummet 3 places down the table.
Minor miracles are needed by the Huddersfield contingent as Amelia in 9th all but bombed this week, while Snooty’s single figure returns are not helping his cause as he finds himself stuck firmly to the bottom.

Wow. So the FA Cup appears to be rather difficult (or impossible in one case) to predict with this week seeing the Championship's second worse total of the season so far. Statistically, draws are the least likely result and with this week producing 6 of them, perhaps the low scores aren't so surprising. Only 2 correct gamball predictions, only 2 correct bonus predictions, two matches , Shrewsbury and Palace, producing negative scores and nobody predicting the Portsmouth QPR draw.
In such a low scoring week, the stand out performance came from Quantum, continuing his quiet march to promotion and yet again benefiting from his decision not to play the Gamball. Quantum was the only player to reach double figures, helped by a correct score bonus. Second place went to Themaclad who got more correct predictions than anyone else (4) including the gamball.
Another gap to Baggie_One in 3rd place with a massive 4 points, saved by all of those points coming from the final gamball match. Twerton was the other player to gain from his bonus with 4eva and Joker just managing to stay in positive territory.
Normally a score of minus 1 would see you sitting comfortably bottom of the league. Stairs got just 2 correct predictions and failed to score on any of his balls, but his score wasn't the worst. That honour (?) goes to our favourite committee member, Bomber, who achieved what I think must be a first - a total wipe out. Not a single correct prediction, not even a score ball point, to give absolutely the worst possible score of minus 5. And Beefy was thinking he'd had a bad week!
Zin
While none of the players in the Championship moved up or down this week, it did see the top 2 make their move to draw clear of the chasers as Themaclad sits top 17 points ahead Quantum in 2nd where there’s then a 20 point gap down to 3rd.
Bomber occupies that spot still – just – despite a disastrous week that saw his advantage over Twerton in 4th cut to only 3 points as the lure of a promotion play-off place appears at this stage to be up for grabs with only 9 points between 3rd and 6th.
BaggieOne’s Gamball helped his week no end to maintain 5th, while 4eva is still bang there despite a few indifferent weeks, with the dingles suffering at the hands of his Bonus Ball this week. Do us a favour mate and plonk it on Middlesborough next week
.Stairs missed the chance to tag himself onto the pack above him although he’s still only 11 points back in 7th, while Joker reverted back to a single figure week and sits 60 odd points adrift at the bottom.
