Following video footage of three separate assaults on Celtic players, in that recent game v Rangers, the ref scrutiny panel again lets another Rangers player "off the hook". There must be lotsa people in the Scottish footie community who similarly find this lenient policy to be "highly suspicious" and what is the real agenda when it comes to this kinda issue and who is involved in it?

In one of these incidents he has actually hurt/injured the young Celtic player, Ralston, an incident that I gather Celtic officials not happy with at all and no wonder!

If the referees panel find that there is no case to answer because the referee had sight of the 3 incidents we must all accept the findings but some of us fail to see the wisdom of the "no action" decision. This line of action could come back and haunt the SFA/SPFL in the future. Morelos may start thinking he`s "untouchable" and start pushing the boundaries of the amount of physical contact allowed and cause problems on the pitch that results in a free for all.
A more sensible approach would be to ask him to explain his actions and leave a lengthy suspension hanging over his head.

Amazing series of events.
Presumably John Beaton says he saw the incidents, but didn't think them worthy of any punishment. If that's the case he should be removed from the referees list. The upshot is that neither the referee nor the SFA panel saw anything wrong.
If a referee is naive enough to punish Morelos, the SFA overrule him and let Morelos off the hook again.
Perhaps we should ban handshakes before the game!

The implications of this story are massive! You wanna read Chris Sutton's scathing comments! Not one for "pulling punches", Sutton insinuating a huge conspiracy theory up here and not taking any prisoners!

I read that John Beaton has apparently been targeted by lowlife scum, requiring a police escort to today's game. This type of action by the scum of this world against referees should be roundly condemned by all, no matter what we think of the individual referee. Or player or manager or official, come to that.

Bring in VAR!! That's the solution. And it would prob have changed the whole "dynamic" of that particular game v Rangers!!

Chris Suttons` comments have definitely stirred up the "always cheated-never defeated" section at Parkhead and caused the backlash against Beaton but Celtic themselves started it by making their argument public. This should have been done quietly at Hampden and would most probably been answered by the SFA and John Beaton.
Lets not forget that Celtics` attitude to refereeing decisions led to a strike by the officials a few years ago.
At some point soon the SFA will have to give in and introduce VAR but even that will not stop certain teams from arguing against the decisions it makes.

Didn’t see any of the incidents, so won’t comment on that, but VAR wouldn’t make any difference here would it? There can be no after the fact punishment if the ref saw the incidents and dealt with them on the field, as appears to be the case here, so as any VAR judgement is asked for by the ref then I would assume as he saw them and did nothing at the time he wouldn’t have felt the need to use VAR. If the ref is crap and made bad decisions then that is a different issue to all of this.
