Hibs v Rangers, Wed 19 December, KO 7.45pm

Neil prompting his Hibs' players to focus on the second part of a double over the big Glesca clubs! However, it won't be easy as I think Rangers will not be as "flat" and injury-affected as the Hoops were on Sunday. Also Morelos will return on Wed night and I think the "key" to this outcome will be keeping the striker quiet and restricting the supply of scoring chances. It should be a good game and it is a case of how Hibs handle their current injuries and if any key players can return from injury?

I hope it unfolds as you say Jim lol! I'm just curious to find out who is the appointed ref as I fear he could play a role in deciding the outcome of this match? Here's hoping that is not the case and Hibs "show up" again and "turn them over" with aplomb!

Hope so, we still have a number of players out or half fit and you can add slivka to the list.

It's a big task to play at the same intensity as sunday, but we should be taking at least a point if we can keep that wee shite morelos quiet.

There can't be many "neutrals" who love football who weren't delighted by your win against Celtic.

If you could keep the adrenalin pumping and wipe the smile of Stevie G's effin' smug face ......... and maybe Motherwell, despite having a couple of ex-Chesterfield players in their ranks, could somehow grab a draw, Christmas would look a better place.

Whatever happens, you should celebrate Sunday big-time and look forward to the day when beating them becomes a bit run-of-the-mill. It could happen.

Just back from ER and I must say delighted with the draw in a fairly dogged performance by Hibs that saw Gerrard deploying a hi-press game plan that gave Hibs very little time on the ball and any "stragglers" would be "found out"! We had lotsa stragglers in that respect and it took quite a while for certain players to "get to grips" with what was happening. I'll take the draw as it extends Hibs unbeaten run and pass marks to Stevo and Ryan Porteous who were unfazed by these tactics and stuck doggedly to their defensive tasks. Bogdan also immense and one could say he "saved our bacon" with some great saves. Olie Shaw also not prolific enough as he scorned two decent goal opps - ran into great positions but no clinical finishing, gotta do better. The same goes for Hyndman with no coolness to finish a good breakaway move. Lastly I must give a "special mention" to our favourite ref, Craig Thomson, who never fails to get involved in some contentious move to deny Hibs some kinda promising attack or pk to win a match. Booed off the pitch by Hibs fans AGAIN! His record since about 2003 (when he started officiating top league matches) is an absolute disgrace when it comes to winning matches under this guy's control!! I can count Hibs victories on one hand - IMO highly questionable and suspicious!!

We were atrocious, fortunately the Huns aren't very good. With Celtic not playing euro football til February they will run away with the league.

Take the point and move on.

Aye! Celtic were never gonna miss that opportunity last night to "top the league" again.

First 20 mins we were ok, then they started to press our midfield heavily and our game fell apart. That said shaw missed two great chances, but they were the better side. The diving and cheating of the huns has to be commented on though, really awful stuff.

Next game I'd go to one up top and have an extra body in the middle.

I know no-one in their right mind would back against Celtic winning the league, but your Premiership has an unusual look about it at the moment. All the way down to you (and that is not intended as an insult) everyone is still maintaining contact with the bunch. Usually it is one, or perhaps two teams over the hill and away into the next county by Christmas. From the outside I can assure you beating Celtic and drawing with Rangers within a few days looks like a good effort. Your boys had every excuse to fold under pressure, specially against Rangers, and they didn't. Losing can come dead easy when you know you've every excuse.
