Town v Brighton

They showed a few angles of the challenge on Durm on the stream I was watching. Looked as bad as Mounie’s. I think they both should’ve been yellows but if he’s given a red to us then he should’ve sent Balogun packing.

Gutted with that result, we could’ve got a good win today but instead Mounie’s absolutely pointless challenge means we’re below Cardiff.

They only showed the goals and the sending off, but to be fair to NBC that's usually all they show at this stage anyway. Did see the Mounie challenge again, they showed a couple more replays, he seemed to be trying to pull out of the challenge a bit but kept his foot up and went through the player. If he had put his foot down as he started to he wouldn't have got the red.

Check out the Capoue sending off for Watford, that one was probably a bit more unlucky than Mounie's but still resulted in a red.

Well I'll give you mine. He's as bent as a banana. 3 red cards in 8 games, for what? Name another ref that has sent 3 Town players off in the last 10 years? Wagbo has every right to be furious, but knowing the clowns at The FA they will charge him and back Oliver. He ignores a blatant penalty and another card. He gives them a yellow for a similar foul to the one he gives Mounié a red for and this total waste of oxygen draws a professional wage and ultimately a pension. If the FA are still wondering why there were no English refs at the World Cup, this bent banana is a prime reason, plus the politics.

By the way, that Mounié challenge was not as bad as the bad tempered one by Zaha on Gonads. Was he shown a red?

They plead respect the ref but then incompetent fuckwits like that egotistic t8 pull out a performance like that.

In almost any other profession, you put a performance like that on, you dont get a slapped wrist, you get a full inquest or sacking. the premier league wont even look into his performance, he'll collect his paycheque and ruin another game on tuesday or Wednesday.

This nobsack is supposed to one of the best officials in the country. I've watched games at emleys level and seen some poor performances but none that poor. No wonder we had zero refs at the world cup, they arent good enough, theres been a fair bit of investment in st George's park and everything but the state of officiating is going downhill fast.

This guy suffers from small man syndrome and is determined to become the centre of attention even if its at the detriment of the game. Refs wont get respect until they up their game and standards. I've been to the cricket recently and watch a lot of international cricket and lets put it this way, they do a mighty fine job, making decisions and dealing with the players, however they have a system in place to help them when they do make a wrong decision. I get it in both sports they are only human and will make mistakes, but some of these football errors are atrocious look at the Southampton game the other week too. The standards need upping, the people need training and promoting and demoting where fit, then there needs to be a system to help them during the game, even if it leads to town being relegated or the game slowing down, atm one man in the middle of a pitch can ruin thousands of peoples weekend/ weeks and also cost other people their jobs purely because of on occasions their ego, but in most cases incompetence. Its just a shocking state of affairs that the fa and pl will overlook in order to find foreign money.

Dont get me started on big team bias. All I'll say is a former ref came out a month or two ago and spoke about how the fa and pl encourage big teams getting the rub of the green in regards to the key decisions

Mounie pulled out of the tackle. Yes there's contact but it's minimal. I can see why he's given a red, but it was the way the no8 rolled about that made Oliver's mind up.
As for the penalty. Blatant! Four refs in attendance and none of them thought it was a pen? Shocking!
The foul on Durm was worse than Mounie's. He did follow through and unlike their no8, Durm limped through the rest of the match.
Having said all that, we weren't good enough with the ten men left on. As good as we were last week, we were poor this week. Hogg, Billing and Mooy all under performed after such brilliance at Wolves. And the fact that the Brighton defence had such an easy last 60 minutes just goes to show how good big Steve is and how he will be missed in the next three games. Depoitre, I don't think, is good enough. Hope he proves me wrong.
If we'd managed to get to half time in the lead, it might've been different, but again Oliver at fault. The corner was taken well past the four minutes added on. But that's no excuse for player's minds to switch off.
After the game, have you ever seen Wagz that angry?  Angry
