Sorry, I should have got to this earlier, but I started a new job this week and was in Chicago all week so the timing is perfect for you to take it back over Matt!!!

Congratulations St Charles.

I left mine yesterday after having a disagreement with the management after they wouldn't compromise.

Are commiserations or congratulations in order, Matt? Only you know the answer to that one.

Anyway, good luck and good to have you back with us.

Good luck to you as well, St Charles; Chicago`s a fascinating city AND you don`t have old San Andreas to worry about - if you ever did, of course.

I'm not moving to Chicago thankfully!!! I lived there for 12 years and still own a house there but when I arrived on Monday to 8" of snow and sub-zero temperatures then I was instantly reminded of one of the reasons I moved to California. Having said that Chicago is a great city, one of my favorites, just can't live in the winters anymore!! I am working for a Sheffield company that has its US HQ in Chicago, but I will be running the West Coast operation for them. I worked for them for 17 years previously, just the right time and opportunity to go back.

Yes, I suppose it does get a bit parky up in Illinois. I`ve only been to Chicago in the summer so didn`t see that side of it. Mind you, my wife has relatives in northern Ontario and apparently it gets down to -40C in the winter; we can`t even conceive of temperatures like that in this country.

Stll, nowhere`s perfect. They do say that even Sheff has its downsides!

I think its a bit of both SaltergateBorn. Sad the way it's gone but I wasn't the first to leave and won't be the last. 18 people left in less than 3 months isn't good is it?
