The first steel city derby ended in a 0-0 draw, with our goalie and defense clinching there first clean sheet of the season. Dawson was the real hero as he saved a McGoldrick penalty in the first half. The back 3 were excellent as they fended off the Blunts attacks. The Blunts had plenty of possession but apart from the penalty and a couple of Sharp headers they were restricted to long range efforts. We offered little going forward with our best chance came when Fox put over the bar in the first half from a corner. Does this give Jos extra time to sort things out or will DC pull the plug on his tenure, only time will tell.

We entertain Derby as we get back to business in the league. The Rams have had a good start under Lampard Jr and currently lie 6th in the table. The Rams will be looking to get back to the premier league with Lampard now in charge and will hope to heap more misery on us. We actually won this fixture last year with Joao getting a double in a 2-0 win. We need to backup the defensive display v the Blunts and get a positive result, hopefully a win but I would take a point now.

Cant see us getting anything more than a draw from this unless we turn out something realy special which we all know wont happen with this lot and after the International break even less chance of happening

Id like to see penney given all the support he needs and that means pudil behind him ! and Fessi joao and bob upfront from the start just to see if they can work some of that old magic that happened many moons ago fletcher for me is a lone striker and doesnt fit in with any of the others whatsoever and never has and we cant play a lone striker on a home game so he sits out if dross has any sense ..which he hasnt

weve got Bolton coming up next week who we are more than due a home win so getting 6 points out of these next 2 fixtures for me will make or break the season as the pigs didnt break it thank god
